JEE Advanced is the national-level exam which is widely conducted by IITs to admit students for the BTech and BTech Integrated courses. To get into IIT Bhubaneswar through JoSAA counselling, It is mandatory to have minimum 75% marks (65% for reserved category) in class 12 to take admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. Candidates should apply for JoSAA counselling only if they fulfill all the conditions of eligibility. However, many institutes admit students on the basis of JEE Main where there is no requirement of minimum marks in class 12.

Admission to IITs via JoSAA counseling requires your state SC certificate which was issued by NCT Delhi. For admission through JoSAA candidates from the SC background must present an authentic caste certificate which was issued by authorized bodies of their state or union territory. The certificate released by authorities in NCT Delhi Union Territory will be recognised because it operates as a union territory. The certificate upload for online registration will be followed by original certificate presentation during document verification. As a student belonging to the SC category you can apply for the 15% reserved seats at IITs.

It is possible to secure a seat at some GFTIs/CFTIs, even with a JEE Main rank above 1 lakh. But, popular branches (like CSE) or top-tier institutions will likely be closed.
