School of Engineering and Technology, CMR University conducts an entrance exam to select candidates for PhD course. Candidates with M.Phil degree from a recognised university are exempted from taking the entrance examination, if the degree has been obtained on or after July 11, 2009. Selected candidates are further called for a personal interview round.

Students seeking to apply for PhD programme offered at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University must fulfil the eligibility criteria of the course to secure their admission. The basic eligibility is to have a Master's or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master's degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade from a recognised university.

The eligibility criteria for PhD Management and Commerce programme offered by School of Business Management NIU is that the candidates must have a master's degree with atleast 55% marks in aggregate and a bachelor degree with atleast 75% marks in aggregate. A relaxation of 5% marks may be given to candidates from SC/ST or EWS category. NIU does not offer any direct admission in the courses candidates have to give an entrance exam conducted by the college.

Qualification Requirements: The minimum qualification required for admission to the B.Tech and the integrated M.Tech. programmes at IIIT-B is a first-class in 10+2 (or equivalent) with Mathematics as one of the subjects. Candidates need to pass one-year master's degree after a four-year bachelor's degree or a two year master's degree after a three-year bachelor's degree with at least 55% aggregate or its equivalent grade to apply for PhD course at Goa Unievrsity. There is a 5% relaxation in the aggregate for SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL/ PwD candidates)
Aspirants who have completed MPhil programme with a minimum of 55% aggregate can also apply.

Like any other PhD program, if you want to get admission to PhD in Bioinformatics, you'll need to fulfil the basic requirements. It will include obtaining a master's degree in a relevant discipline from a UGC-approved university with a minimum of 55% aggregate score.

Ph.D. in Education at MIT School of Education and Research is a 3 years course offered at the Doctorate level. To get admitted to Ph.D. in Education course at MIT School of Education and Research, applicants must meet the entry requirements. The minimum eligibility criteria is that the candidate must have completed a master's degree in any discipline with minimum 55% marks from a recognised university. 5% relaxation is provided for reserved category students. A candidate who has completed an M.Phil in any discipline with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognised university is also eligible to apply for the course.

There is no age limit to pursue Ph.D. in any University. For Ph.D., there are two methods a candidate can follow.
- Clearing NET/JRF
- Entrance Test
Let us discuss both the options one by one in detail. In some Universities, the UGC NET qualified candidates are exempted from the obligation of an entrance test and they have to appear for the interview only. By virtue of their NET/JRF qualification, they get an exemption from entrance tests for M.Phil./Ph.D. courses in some Universities.

To enrol in a PhD degree course, candidate must posses a two-year Master's degree in Fine Art & Applied Art from any recognised university with a minimum of 50% (45% for the reservation category). Candidates who have cleared an All India Examination of UGC NET in the last two years are exempted from the written part of the selection process. However, they will be required to appear for the Personal Interview.
