Ahmedabad University Course Admissions 2026: Courses & Fees, Eligibility, Dates & Selection Process

Ahmedabad University accepts JEE Main scores. Ahmedabad Univesity offers admission to various BTech courses. Candidates seeking admission to the UG courses must have valid JEE Main scores in order to be eligible for further rounds. As per the Ahmedabad JEE Main cutoff 2024, the last-round cutoff scores ranged between 4798 and 17482 for the General AI category candidates. Among all the BTech courses, Discontinued (October,2024)-B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering is the most competitive course for the General AI category students. 

The last date to apply for MMS course is not specified yet. Students are advised to keep track of the dates if they want to take admission in this university. 

Ahmedabad University BTech course admission is completely entrance-based. Students can apply via valid scores of either JEE Main or GUJCET. Those who pass Class 12 with PCM as the main subject are eligible to apply for the course. Students belonging to Gujarat state can apply in both ways either through All Indian Rank of JEE or through norms of ACPC. The Tuition Fee will be payable in two equal instalments every year, payable in advance at the beginning of each semester. The fee is subject to revision and is likely to increase by 6% to 12% annually. Refunds for withdrawal/cancellation of admission will be as per UGC Guidelines. Ahmedabad University follows a strict attendance policy. If a student's attendance in any course falls below 80% then the grade in that course may also fall. There is one grade drop for every shortfall of 15% below 80% attendance. If by any chance, the attendance of the student falls below 50% then the student will get an 'F' or 'NP' Grade and will have to repeat the entire course, if needed.

Ahmedabad University provides merit-based scholarships of up to INR 2 lakh to students with CAT 2024 scores of more than 90 percentile. A scholarship of up to INR 2 lakh is also offered to students with high test scores in other valid entrance tests, in their UG degrees in Engineering, Technology and Architecture. Students should also have full-time work experience in recognised organisations.

At the undergraduate level, Ahmedabad University offers BTech, BA, BSc, and other courses to students. At the postgraduate level, the university offers a two-year full-time Ahmedabad University MBA, MSQF, and various other courses. The total seat intake for the MBA course is 150. 

Admission to Ahmedabad University's BTech Chemical Engineering, BTech Mechanical Engineering, and BTech Computer Science and Engineering programs are allocated based on JEE (Main) scores for students who are not from Gujarat. Gujarat domiciled students can apply for these courses through a valid score of GUJCET. Ahmedabad University fills 50% of seats directly through an online application based on the JEE Main All India Rank, while the remaining 50% of seats are allocated through the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) via GUJCET. ACPC is a Gujarat-state committee responsible for the admission of candidates in Engineering courses across all the state universities of Gujarat. Students are invited for group counselling based on the merit list.
