Yes, AKTU accepts CUET score for BTech. AKTU admission to BTech through CUET is for two specialisations:

• Agriculture

To get admission to AKTU for UG/PG courses, candidates must appear for entrance exams such as JEE Mains/CUET/CUET-PG. Candidates must fulfil the basic eligibility criteria before applying. A minimum of Class 12 is required to apply for UG courses whereas, a bachelor's degree is required for PG programmes. AKTU offers the BTech programme at the UG level in various specialisations. The university accepts , followed by the UPTAC Counselling for admission to its BTech programme. To be eligible for AKTU BTech admissions, the candidates must have passed Class 12 from any recognised board with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Biology as main subjects. The university also accepts lateral entry admissions for the BTech programme.

JEE Main is one of the accepting exams for AKTU BTech admission. Looking at the below trend, JEE Main cutoff for BTech course is the highest for Biotechnology. Admission confirmation: After completion of the selection rounds, candidates will be called for document verification and counselling. The selected candidates will need to pay fee to confirm their seat.

The AKTU cutoff for B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering for the general category is expected to be around 32075 for Round 1 and 62320 for Round 4 in the Uttar Pradesh Domicile Quota. The minimum qualifying marks required for various categories in B.Tech courses are 25% for general, 25% for OBC, 20% for SC, and 25% for ST.

According to the IET Lucknow cutoff for Round 1 in 2023, the closing ranks for all BTech specialisations ranged between 36086 and 94805. The most competitive specialisation has been B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence) with a closing rank of 36086, followed by B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering with a 51075 rank for the General category students.

AKTU provides the B.Tech degree with 41 different specializations

Duration - four years.

• AKTU takes an entrance exam viz. UPSEE for entry in the B.Tech courses.
• AKTU also approves 20% of aspirants based on JEE Main score as per the State Government criteria.

Eligibility norm -

 Candidates should have finished their 12th standard exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with 45% marks or more ( 40% score or more SC/ST) from an identified board.

MBA is a two-year course divided into four semesters. AKTU offers MBA at campus through the Institute of Engineering & Technology, UP Institute of Design and Faculty of Management Studies. Interested candidates should check the eligibility requirements before applying for any of the MBA courses. Aspirants who have passed the bachelor's degree/ equivalent examination can apply for the MBA course. Apart from the academic qualification, candidates also need to qualify CUET-PG to get admission to AKTU MBA course.

According to Times of India it is reported that total number of 70,000 seats were allocated for the B.Tech students at the Institute of Engineering and Technology AKTU. 

However only 30,000 candidates have registered and the rest 40,000 remain vacant after several poorly-resourced engineering colleges shut, culling thousands of seats.

In 2021-22, AKTU had 1.34 Lacs BTech seats,   according to the Times of India 44,384 seats remained vacant.

Candiates seeking admission to AKTU and have appeared for the CUET-UG entrance test are eligible to register themselves for the Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) counselling process conducted by AKTU. Also, candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from any institution located in UP or whose parents are domicile of UP subject to the eligibility conditions given in the AKTU brochure are eligible for the counselling round. 

CUET PG is the accepting exam for AKTU MBA admission. The CUET-PG examination is scheduled to be conducted in March 2026 (tentative). The examination specific details will be informed to candidates through the Information Bulletin of respective examinations, which will be published at the time of launch of the CUET PG Registration Forms.
