Poor infrastructure, staff is good, not many helpful people in the faculty, very bad placements.

Placements: Only 5% of students secured placements. The packages offered for our course from other universities are good, but not from this university; moreover, there is very little help and guidance for students. Many are looking for other colleges for further studies and internships.

Infrastructure: The classrooms were adequate, the library was acceptable, but the facilities were poor. Hostel rooms were okay, and sports activities were managed and maintained solely by students. There was no proper faculty for specific subjects, nor were adequate medical facilities provided. The canteen staff was good, and the food was just edible.

Faculty: The faculty was okay but lacked experience and helpfulness; there was no proper guidance provided to students for their futures. They just couldn't prepare students for the industry. I found it challenging in my field for internships, and the exams were manageable, with a pass percentage of 75-80%.

Other: I was interested in criminology; it's engaging and adventurous but risky, which is why I chose forensic science. Students must experience more practical work in classes, and the faculty should be more experienced to inspire and explain properly. Events and workshops are essential for students to excel in forensic science.

The overall review of this college is very good.

Placements: They didn't get any placements. They gave internships for training, and the percentage of internships is about 90 in the Bachelor of Forensic Science course. In my course, there are several roles such as forensic analyst, forensic expert, fingerprint analyst, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities of the department are quite good compared to other departments, with facilities of free Wi-Fi, labs, and a library. The most attractive thing is the classroom. Through the classroom, you can see the beautiful natural scenery of Shimla, which looks very beautiful. The quality of the facilities in the hostel is good, with free Wi-Fi and hot water in winter. The quality of the food available in the mess and canteen is good, and the fee for the mess is around 4,500 per month. Sports such as volleyball, basketball, badminton, and other sports competitions are organized by the college on the college campus every year.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and well-qualified, with good knowledge about the particular subject. The teaching quality in this college for this particular course is quite good compared to other courses. Different curricular activities are organized related to this course. The difficulty level of the semester exam is average. The question paper of the semester exam is not very difficult, so it can easily be solved, and the pass percentage of the semester exam is 33 percent. This course makes the student very creative and gives them very sharp knowledge about the investigation of cases in different fields such as fingerprints, toxicology, and questioned documents.

Other: I chose this course because it has very wide potential, and you can get a job in the upcoming years. The best thing about this course is that it is a very interesting and adventurous field, which makes you interested in this course. It has wide potential in the upcoming few years. In this college, events are organized every year on different occasions, and many students participate in these events or functions. Fests are organized by students. They raise the funds for the fest on their own. Every year, only one fest is organized by students.
