University you can consider for M.Ed. in India.
Placements: Since campus placements are not that great, but the quality of education provided here in the Department of Education, AMU is top-notch. Students become capable enough to find jobs on their own. M.Ed. is a regular 2-year programme with 2 internships in semester 2 and semester 3. Semester 2 internship prepares the student to present lectures in B.Ed colleges while the semester 3 internships foster supervision qualities amongst the pupils. They supervise the B.Ed students in their teaching internships. The training and internship period is quite realistic. Most of the students look for jobs on their own.
Infrastructure: The Department of Education, AMU doesn't possess well-equipped classrooms, labs, and a library. There are only a few classes with smart boards. Computer labs are generally closed. The library is fine yet needs renovation. A lot of prescribed books are not present there. On the other hand, hostel infrastructure is too good and highly cost-effective. Mess facility, Wi-Fi, canteen, common room, reading room, gym, ATM, parking space, ramps, etc., mostly all the facilities are present, which provides a safe and positive learning environment.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are highly qualified, supportive, helpful, and knowledgeable. Their teaching style and methodologies are highly effective. The curriculum is not as per the recent trends; little transformation could be done to make the students industry-ready. Semester exams are quite simple. 30% marks are seasonal-dependent and the rest 70%, is the semester exam. The passing percentage is 100%, I guess.
Other: The best thing about M.Ed. at AMU is the morning-to-afternoon classes. It means you are free after lunch time and give time to yourself. The internship period can be hectic and may demand classes after lunch, till evening. The course is not difficult for someone who has pursued B.Ed in regular mode from any central and state University. Events and scholarship opportunities in the form of merit scholarship awards are awarded to top students.
