AMU PhD courses are doctoral level courses that have a duration of five years. PhD at AMU is offered in many specialisations across most departments of the institute including PhD in Home Science, Hindi, Commerce, Tourism, Law, Biochemistry, Business Administration, etc.

Final selection for most of the UG and PG courses via CUET is based on candidates' performance in the counselling round. Talking about the minimum eligibility requirement for AMU UG courses, candidates must have passed the Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 50%. The PhD admission fees at AMU ranges between INR 13,300 - INR 26,100 for the academic year 2026. Most PhD courses have an admission fees of INR 13,300 which must be paid after the personal interview round, if the candidate is selected for PhD admissions.

AMU PhD Admission Dates 2026
The AMU PhD admission dates are inline with the AMU entrance exam schedule for the PhD course. However, the UGC NET is also an accepted entrance exam for PhD admissions at AMU. Thus, candidates should track either the dates of AMU entrance exam or te UGC NET to not miss the AMU PhD deadline.
