Amity University Kolkata admissions are both merit-based and entrance-based. The institute accepts national-level entrance exams like JEE Main, CAT, CUET, etc. for admission to specified courses. The university also conducts an entrance exam for admission. Here, direct admission refers to students who are not required to take entrance exams or attend personal interviews to be admitted to the course. However for direct admission university considers the scores of students from their last qualifying exam. Hence, for direct admission, the students must have good scores in their academics.

For admission to BSc courses at Amity University Kolkata, candidates are required to qualify for the general eligibility criteria first, which that states- candidates must complete their Class 12 with a minimum mark of 50% in the PCM/ PCB stream. Then, candidates are required to appear in  the entrance examinations i.e., CUET UG.

The selection for the BSc course is based on CUET UG scores. Additionally, aspirants must also fulfil the eligibility requirements for admission to the BSc course. A pass in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology with at least 50% aggregate is required to apply for a BSc course. Those passing Class 12 with at least 80% aggregate are eligible for direct admission to the BSc course. Otherwise, candidates are required to get valid scores in CUET.
