The University has released the combined placement data for UG (4-year) Agriculture courses. Out of 1,180 UG (4-year) Agriculture graduates 811 were placed during the 2023 drive. This makes the placement rate 69%. Check out the table for more clarity:

The online/distance degrees offered by the Centre for Distance and Online Education at Annamalai University are valid. Previously, the University Grants Commission (UGC) did not approve its courses starting from 2015. However, Annamalai University DDE  received relief from the Madras High Court in an order dated 21.01.2023. Subsequently, following a reassessment by the UGC, Annamalai DDE achieved a qualifying score of 3.38, which led to extending the validity of its programmes until 2027.

As per Annamalai University's NIRF report 2024, the university was able to place 18 M.Tech students during the placement drive held in 2023. Moreover, the report states that the median package for MTech courses stood at INR 4.28 LPA. 

Other than this, Cognizant, IBM, TCS, Wipro, HCL, EY, and WNS are some of the top recruiters who have actively participated in the past AU placements.

Annamalai University offers more than 500 courses through distance education, Annamalai University admissions are both merit-based and entrance-based. Offering courses at the UG, PG, PhD, and Diploma levels, Annamalai University offers courses at the total tuition fee ranging from INR 2.8 K to INR 29.4 Lakh. Students can check with the admission office if the university allows payment through both online and offline modes.

Annamalai University offers placement assistance through various collaborations and partnerships laid by the University. As per the recent stats, around 202 PG 2 year Agriculture students participated in placement drive, within which, 125 received packaged successfully, marking the median package of worth INR 4.22 LPA. Similarly, among 1,180 UG 4-year Agriculture students, 811 received placement packages, marking the median package of INR 3.19 LPA. M.Tech graduates, on the other hand, received a median package of INR 4.28 LPA.

As per the NIRF report 2025, MBA and M.Tech placement rate recorded in 2024 was 100%. The placement rate recorded during BTech placements 2024 was 73.03%.

The university does not conduct any in-house entrance test for MBA in Annamalai University. However, the aspirants are selected based on merit in TANCET followed by a counselling round. Candidates seeking admission need to take the entrance test and apply by completing the TANCET application process. There is no other provision for admission to an MBA. Hence, aspirants must take the exam and secure a valid score.

With less than 50% in graduation it is difficult to get admission in Annamalai University for MBA course. The minimum marks required for the same is 50%. You can contact the admission office for more details.

You must secure a minimum aggregate ranging from 40% to 60%, differing as per the chosen course to get in Annamalai University UG and PhD courses. However, for PG level course admissions, candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 40% to 50% in graduation. 

Annamalai University offers good placements to its students. 94 companies visited the campus and 1791 students were placed in 2024. During the placement drive 2023, 106 companies visited and 1558 students were placed.

A total of 94 companies visited the campus during Annamalai University placements 2024. In 2023, 106 companies visited the campus.

The university offers four-year full-time BE/BTech courses in various specialisations on-campus and through affiliated colleges. In addition, apart from the regular BE degree, Annamalai University also offers part-time BE courses covering four specialisations. BE Lateral entry courses are also available. Admission to the UG courses is based on merit, seats are further allotted to the shortlisted candidates through TNEA counselling. Some of the specialisations in which the course is offered are Chemical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering, which have been accredited by the NBA with an ‘A’ Grade.

Annamalai University inducts students to its BPharm course based on fulfillment of eligibility and selection criteria. Students who fulfill the eligibility criteria can begin the admission process by applying for the preferred BPharm course. After the application stage, the university begins with the selection process. Students are selected based on the merits obtained in the last qualifying exam. At last, the selected candidates must make the payment of the Annamalai University BPharm fee to secure admission.

A total of 1791 students were placed during Annamalai University placements 2024. In 2023, 1558 students were placed.
