SRM IST UG Diploma Eligibility & Highlights 2025
Apart from the UG and PG courses, SRM IST Chennai also offers four diploma courses to the students with a duration ranging between one to three years. Admission to these courses is based on fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in the last qualifying exam. The total fee for these courses ranges from INR 5 K to 60 K per year. SRM Institute of Technology Kattankulathur PB Diploma Admission 2022
At the Post Basic Diploma level, the University offers three programmes with a duration of one year. Admission to these courses is based on fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in the last qualifying exam. The total fee for these courses range from 5 K to 55 K. SRM Institute of Science and Technology admissions are conducted on the basis of entrance tests. The admission for the flagship programs are held on the basis of SRMJEEE UG exam. Further, SRM MBA admissions are conducted on the basis of SRMJEEM test. The SRMJEEE PG test is conducted for the various SRMIST PG courses. The university also accepts scoring from nationally-held tests like CAT, TANCET, MAT, etc. for admissions.
The SRMIST average package for 2025 stood at INR 6.68 LPA. Earlier, the average package for 2024 placements stood at INR 7.13 LPA and in 2023 it was INR 10.5 LPA.

SRM University conducts SRM JEE exam for admission to Engineering courses. The university does not accept scores for any other entrance exams. Also, direct admission is not valid either. Candidates are shortlisted for BTech and M.Tech based on their past academic records and scores obtained in the entrance exam.
To sit for the respective exams, candidates must apply for the exams priorly and make a preparation strategy to ace the exam.
Yes, candidates can get admission to BTech without JEE Main score. Admission to BTech course is only based on SRMJEEE score. Candidates are required to pass Class 12 with minimum 60% aggregate as per the minimum eligibility criteria. Further, aspirants must qualify for SRM JEE exam with a valid score. SRM University Chennai offers Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) courses at the UG level in the Medical stream through NEET UG scores followed by round-wise NEET Counselling. As per SRM University Chennai cutoff 2024, the last-round closing rank was 195886 for admission to the MBBS course. The Round 1 closing rank for the same stood at 637582 for the students belonging to the General AI quota.
For BDS admission, the NEET UG first and last-round closing ranks were 980273 and 980273, respectively.
No, SRM IST does not accept CUET score for admission to any of its UG & PG courses. The university conducts its in-house entrance exam for BTech and MTech, i.e., SRM JEE. Further, for admission to MBA course, the university accepts scores of national-level entrance exams such as GMAT, CAT, MAT, TANCE, etc. SRM University also offers direct admission to courses such as BA, MSc, etc., based on the merit of last qualifying exams of previous education.

SRM IST fee refund policy is based on UGC guidelines. Candidates get full refund at any time between the academic year of admission. Candidates are required to submit an application form signed by them t and their parent in person or online for refund. Candidates get refund to their bank provided in the refund request form. The refund will be processed by RTGS or NEFT.
SRMIST offers scholarships to help meritorious students with their academic goals. Further, the university has collaboration with a number of banking & funding organisations to enable students and parents to access scholarship and education loan services. MBA Scholarship for aspirants with UG degrees is 85% and will be given a concession of INR 50,000 in second-year tuition fees. The concession is subject to MBA first-year CGPA of above 8 and no standing arrears and commendable in participative learning. It must be noted that the information mentioned above is as per past years' data.
The university fee structure is cumulative of several components, such as caution deposit, tuition fee, hostel fee, and more. A few of these components are one-time payable, while some have are charged annually/semesterly. SRM IST Chennai MBA tuition fee ranges between INR 1.9 Lacs and INR 11.5 lakh. Moreover, the one-time fee range between INR 1,200 and INR 11,000 and the hostel charges range between INR 1.45 Lacs and INR 3.3 lakh.
