M.Tech. in Textile Technology - Batch of 2026
Offered by JCE - Jaya Engineering College Thiruninravur Chennai

M.Teach Textile Technology Course information about college, placement etc.
Placements: About 70 percent of students received offers, which is a respectable placement result. The average salary remained around 5 LPA, while the top salary was close to 9–10 LPA. Textile mills, clothing exporters, and quality laboratories were among the recruiters. Although some positions lacked true technical depth, internships are available in processing and testing units.
Infrastructure: The classrooms had reliable Wi-Fi, and the textile labs had working dyeing, printing, and testing equipment. The library provided good assistance with pertinent journals. The mess menu grew boring, but the hostel rooms are cozy. There are medical and sports facilities, but they weren't very large.
Faculty: The instructors are personal and provided clear explanations of concepts using real-world examples. Although a few new industry trends could be added, the curriculum covered important textile topics like fiber science, processing, and material testing. Students who prepared consistently had no trouble passing the moderate exams.

The platform to learn and grow.
Placements: Around 88-90% of our seniors were placed this year. The highest package is 25 LPA, and the average is 8 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Zoho, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, etc. Nearly 70% of students got internships from IT companies such as Zoho, HCL, Infosys, and TCS.
Infrastructure: Our college has spacious classrooms, well-equipped labs, and playgrounds. I am a day scholar who comes by college bus. It will pick and drop the topping on time. The quality of the food in the canteen was good. The sports activities were excellent.
Faculty: The faculty members of our college were helpful, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. They help us to understand the concept until we are clear about it and clarify the doubts several times. The course curriculum is relevant and makes the students ready through practical experience and skills.

Partially I feel good and bad in this, because of faculty and placements.
Placements: I know 40% of students were placed on the campus in the past years in companies like Wipro, TCS, HCL, etc., in various non-industries. 4 to 6 LPA is the average package. Not sure about internships right now because I am a first-year student. Seniors are working hard for placements on and off campus.
Infrastructure: Labs are good with nice infrastructure. Wi-Fi support is the worst in both college and hostel. The hostel is cleanly maintained by workers, but students clean their own rooms. Hostel students may be affected by this. Food was not good and special. Totally disappointing for me. The canteen and mess are located on the college campus, not near the hostel. Anything when it is needed, then they cannot go outside of the college.
Faculty: Teachers are better for excellence. The doubts are cleared both offline and online. The quality of teaching is good with taking notes in the classroom. The curriculum was slightly hard for me with programming courses. Exams are continuing every month. 30/50 is the pass mark in internal exams.
Other: I took the college through TNEA counseling. CSE is the standard field, so I took it. Events happen in a year mostly. Telugu people are mostly in my college, so language issues are always present.

Good campus and nice surrounding. I like it very much, and I'm peaceful to study here.
Placements: Nearly 80 percent of the students got placed in my course. The highest package is 5.5 LPA and the lowest is 2.5 LPA. Honda, Schenider are the top companies for our course, I think, because my senior said that to me. I'm new to college, so I don't know about top roles. I have not discussed it with my seniors.
Infrastructure: Labs are okay, and the problem is available in hostel, but it's not working if we connect. Canteen food is okay, but a few things need to be improved. Few times insects are also there in the food. Fee collected in hostel is too high, and there is no discount for hostel students.
Faculty: We have a very good thing that we can write every 45 days one semester. We divide and learn all the things so that it is easy to complete. EXS facilities are very strict, and my Python mam teaches Python in an understandable form so that it is very easy for me.
Other: I have got this in counselling, but my wish is to study ECE. Still, I fitted my mind to it.

I feel not good to join in this because curriculum and hostel.
Placements: I think 35 percent of students are placed on the campus, but all are startup companies in various non-industries. 2.5 to 3.5 LPA is the average package. No idea about internships right now, because I am a first-year student. Seniors are worried about the college placements.
Infrastructure: Labs have excellent infrastructure. Wi-Fi support is very bad in both college and hostel. Hostel is cleanly maintained by workers, but students clean their own rooms. Food is not good and totally disappointing for me. Canteen and mess are located in the college campus, not near the hostel. I feel my school is better than this college.
Faculty: Teachers are just good. Doubts are not fully cleared. Quality of teaching is good by taking notes in the classroom. Curriculum is slightly bad because programming courses are going roughly. Month. 30/50 is pass mark in internal exams. I feel average marks I got in past exams.
Other: I chose the college through TNEA counselling. ECE is a good field, so I took it. Events happen mostly once a year. Extracurricular activities are limited within faculty control. I feel very bad in this college.

I felt this college is very well for readers and not for enjoying. So, choosing is very good.
Placements: I think 10 percent of students are placed on the campus, in companies like Wipro, TCS, HCL, etc., in various non-industries. 3.5-5 LPA is the average package. Slightly well in internships right now, because I am a first-year student. Very low. Seniors are ready for the placements.
Infrastructure: Labs are average with excellent infrastructure. Wi-Fi support is the worst in both college and hostel. Hostel is cleanly maintained by workers weekly once, but students clean their own rooms. Food is not good and totally disappointing for me. Canteen and mess are located in college, but the canteen is an open area, so some dust comes in.
Faculty: Teachers are really not very good but slightly well for excellence. Doubts are cleared at some free time. Quality of teaching is good by taking notes in the classroom. Curriculum is slightly good because the programme course is finished side by side. Exams are continuing every month, so students are constantly reading and preparing for exams.
Other: I chose the college through MQ. ECE is the standard field, so I took it. Events happen once a year, and they are very rare. Extracurricular activities are limited within faculty control. So, this college is maintained for study.
