    Q:   Who is eligible for Anna University admission?
    A: 

    Students have to meet the Anna University course eligibility to get admission. The selection criteria is different for each programme. The common eligibility is as below:

    • Anna University UG eligibility - Class 12 with relevant subjects
    • Anna University PG eligibility - UG degree in a relevant stream
    • Anna University PhD eligibility - PG degree in a relevant field
    Q:   Is Class 12 marks enough for Anna University admission?
    A: 

    For Anna University undergraduate courses, the minimum eligibility requirement is to pass Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for SC/ ST candidates). However, Class 12 marks is not enough to apply for Anna University UG courses such as BE/ BTech. For Anna University BTech admission, candidates are also required to appear for TNEA counselling process. Basis of which Anna University will allocate the seats for BTech admission. For TNEA counselling, the University will consider the Class 12 marks. For Anna University PG admission, the minimum eligibility requirement is to have a graduation degree from a recognised board with a minimum aggregate of 50%.

    Placements: Nearly 75% of students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 18 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA.     Placements: Approximately 76% of students got placed. The highest salary package offered was 15 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Larsen and Toubro and CP Kukreja Architects. Top roles offered were architectural designer and BIM specialist. 65% of students got internships.

    Review of Thiagarajar College of Engineering in 2025 admission for M.Architecture Course.
    Placements: This college has many companies offering internships, like Karan Grover and Associates, Biome Env. Solutions, etc. Companies also offer internships. In this course, recruitment for admission is LC, 12th Marksheet, Domicile, etc. The companies provided packages like 4 lacs to 8 lacs salary for every student.
    Infrastructure: In this college, mostly high-quality products are used, and the infrastructure is very good. In this college, they are providing many facilities like fast Wi-Fi, a fan, a bathroom, labs, drinking water, Gymkhana, etc. This college and hostel canteen food is very tasty, but it is costly.
    Faculty: The college faculty is very strict but very helpful to the student. This faculty is provided by teachers who are very good and very intelligent because there is a high degree of educational qualification completed and are available. This course is a total of 2 to 3 years in duration; it depends on the college because it is autonomous.

    Comprehensive curriculum and excellent faculty support in M.Arch at TCE.
    Placements: The M.Arch program placement rate in the 2022 pass-out batch from Thiagarajar College of Engineering was very good; nearly 70% got placed. The highest package was around 9 lacs per annum, the lowest was 3.5 lacs, and the average package was close to 5.5 lacs per annum. Some of the key recruiters were Larsen & Toubro, C. R. Narayana Rao, and Architect Hafeez Contractor. About 60% of the students got internships at some good firms like RSP Architects and Venkataramanan Associates. Such practical industry exposure was also given to the students. After the completion of the course, graduates were placed mainly as Architectural Designer, Project Architect, and Urban Planner, which fit well into the skills that the student would have obtained during the course. Curriculum and practical exposure helped students fit into the professions.
    Infrastructure: The M.Arch program offers the student state-of-the-art facilities, including modern design studios, advanced architectural computer labs, spacious classrooms, and is Wi-Fi-enabled to connect seamlessly with the online environment, with a good library that holds a great collection of books, journals, and electronic resources in the field of architecture and design. This helps both in academic and personal development, thus making it a well-balanced campus for the students.
    Faculty: The M.Arch program of Thiagarajar College of Engineering is run by some of the highest-quality faculty members who have extensive experience in their work. The faculty members are helpful and approachable. High quality of mentorship can be seen. Quality teaching in the curriculum includes a mixture of theoretical and practical know-how that responds to contemporary architectural trends. It has a very wide and relevant curriculum. Skills such as sustainable design, urban planning, and the application of sophisticated software were emphasized. Semestral exams are moderate testing because they are applied in conceptual understanding and practical application. Students graduating from the program will surely be ready for industry tests.
