Q: Is Class 12 marks enough for Anna University admission?

For Anna University undergraduate courses, the minimum eligibility requirement is to pass Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for SC/ ST candidates). However, Class 12 marks is not enough to apply for Anna University UG courses such as BE/ BTech. For Anna University BTech admission, candidates are also required to appear for TNEA counselling process. Basis of which Anna University will allocate the seats for BTech admission. For TNEA counselling, the University will consider the Class 12 marks. For Anna University PG admission, the minimum eligibility requirement is to have a graduation degree from a recognised board with a minimum aggregate of 50%.

Best placements are offered by my college.

Placements: Companies like Bosch, Ashok Leyland and other core companies recruit from the college. The placements process include four rounds, the first is an aptitude and logical reasoning test, the second is a group discussion, the third is a technical round, and the forth round is an HR interview.

Infrastructure: The college offers a user friendly environment. The library has an extensive collection of books. After admission, the students can register for Wi-Fi which gets activated within two days. The campus also has equipped grounds and a swimming pool. The hostel students have 24*7 Wi-Fi access. The food is acceptable but is limited to vegetarian options only as non vegetarian food is prohibited in the campus.

Faculty: The college follows the syllabus of Anna University due to its affiliation, but as an autonomous institution, it adapts the curriculum to emerging trends. The students receive certification from Anna University. Each semester includes two industrial visits, ensuring substantial industrial exposure.

Other: It is ranked among the top 10 institutions. While the college provides numerous facilities, the students need to actively pursue and utilize these opportunities.

Other: Could have been better in teaching, at least they could have given exposure to current technologies. Professors weren't updated with the current technologies nor were they good in their knowledge. Overall a bad experience. After graduating, I realized how bad the labs were when compared to private institutions and steps taken by the management for giving practical knowledge were minimum.

The college maintains good culture and environment by appropriate rules and policies. The teaching will be more of interactive rather than lecture session. One more awesome facility provided is transportation. They provide bus for students in around Chennai. The college maintains good contact and rapport with the alumni which provides for knowledge sharing with the students.
