The total course fee for the BSc at Annamalai University ranges around INR 10,300 - INR 4.5 lakh. Candidates willing to seek admission to any of the BSc courses are shortlisted on the basis of their marks in Science subjects in previous qualifying degree/ exam. Shortlisted candidates are further called for a counselling-cum-seat allotment round. Annamalai University offers a BSc (Hons) programme across three specialisations. The online/distance degrees offered by the Centre for Distance and Online Education at Annamalai University are valid. Previously, the University Grants Commission (UGC) did not approve its courses starting from 2015. However, Annamalai University DDE  received relief from the Madras High Court in an order dated 21.01.2023. Subsequently, following a reassessment by the UGC, Annamalai DDE achieved a qualifying score of 3.38, which led to extending the validity of its programmes until 2027.

Annamalai University DDE has not specified any age limit to apply for a course. However, aspirants do need to fulfill the qualification requirements to apply for admission. The basic qualification required for UG courses is Class 12 and graduation for PG programmes.
