Annamalai University Distance Education offers admission to candidates based on their merit. Candidates can get a seat directly through Spot Admission. Candidates who have completed Higher Secondary Education or pre-university are eligible to apply for Diploma courses at Annamalai University DDE. Aspirants must have relevant documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission. Besides, admission to Diploma courses is merit-based.

Annamalai University DDE offers courses at UG, PG, Diploma and certificate levels in distance education mode. The on-campus courses at Annamalai University are duly approved/accredited by apex bodies like NAAC  (Grade A+), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), etc. Some of the popular courses at Annamalai DDE includes MA, BFA and MBA. Annamalai University DDE provides exemption from payment of tuition fee, special fees and alumni fees to differently-abled students including those visually challenges residing in Tamil Nadu. Aspirants must submit Disability Certificate issued by the District Welfare Officer for the Differently Abled Citizens. However, they are required to pay other prescribes fees such as admission fee, registration fees, eligibility fee, postage, PCP fee, etc.
