IIIT Hyderabad NIRF Ranking 2026 Out Soon: Check Previous Year Rankings and Trends

IIIT Hyderabad NIRF Ranking 2026 has not been released yet; this blog will be updated once the rankings are out. As per the IIIT Hyderabad NIRF Ranking 2025, the institute achieved a rank of #89 in the overall category. The institute ranks above NIT Silchar, Mumbai University, and AIIMS Bhubaneswar in this category. 

On the other hand, in the other university category, the institute achieved a rank of #55, ranking above Jain, Shiv Nadar and Christ Universities. IIIT Hyderabad performed the best under the Engineering category, with the rank being 38. Students can scroll below for more information. 

IIIT Hyderabad NIRF Ranking 2025: Category-Wise

Students can check the table below to know the IIIT Hyderabad performance in the three different categories. In all three categories, the institute has a NIRF score in the 50s. While the institute holds a respectable position among the top 100 institutes nationally, its Engineering programme is its strongest category. IIIT Hyderabad NIRF Ranking Trends 

In 2024 and 2023, the institute was ranked in the band of 101-150 under the overall category; but in 2025, it has officially been ranked in the top 100 institutes overall. As seen from the table below, the institute has also improved over the last three years in the University category, going from rank 84 in 2023 to rank 55 in 2025.
