Assam University provides admission to its MBA programme through Jawaharlal Nehru School of Management (JNSM). The university accepts admission through national-level entrance examinations such as CAT/ CMAT/CUCET.

Besides these entrance exams, there is university’s entrance exam through which Assam University inducts applicants to its MBA course, its four specialisations. Assam University provides a 2-year full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) course in four specialisations:

• Financial Management
• Marketing Management
• Human Resource Management
• Operations Management

Candidates willing to take in any one of these specialisations of MBA need to take any of these entrance exams like CAT/ CMAT/ CUCET or Assam University's own entrance examination, i.e. Written Skills Assessment Test (WSAT).

Students need to secure a good rank above the closing ranks mentioned in the merit list released by Assam University on their official website. After that, candidates will have to apply for the counselling process, followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview, and based on performance in all these tests will successfully lead to admission to MBA at Assam University.

Assam University provides a 2-year full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) course. The specific objectives of the MBA programme are to enable the graduates to:

As per the latest report, the highest package offered to CSE students during 2023 placements was INR 6 LPA and was offered by Hexaware Technologies. Earlier, the highest package offered in 2022 was comparatively higher and the amount stood at INR 10 LPA. Assam University can be considered competitive as admission is based on the entrance exam scores. Courses such as BTech in Computer Science and Engineering are hard to get due to the high cutoff in JEE Main. For other courses, the university accepts the CUET UG exam. 50% of BTech seats are reserved for the permanent residents of Assam, and the remaining 50% are for All India candidates. However, admission also depends on academic performance and individual preference. 

Assam University cutoff 2023 is based on JEE Main scores followed by the JoSAA Counselling. JEE Main Round 6 has been released for University admission to the  BTech courses as a concluding round. As per Assam University JEE Main cutoff 2023, the Round 6 closing rank was 48929 for General category candidates in All India quota for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering. For female candidates in general category under All India quota,  47665 was the closing rank. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.
