Yes, Assam University offers separate boys' and girls' hostels. Assam University houses eleven hostels: five for boys and six for girls. The hostels are furnished with basic facilities. Along with the accommodation, the varsity also offers mess facilities to the students, which can be availed of by submitting a preference for a meal at the time of admission. Hostel seats are limited, and every student may not get a seat in the hostel. The availability of seats depends on the vacancy in the hostel.

Assam University provides admission to its MBA programme through Jawaharlal Nehru School of Management (JNSM). The university accepts admission through national-level entrance examinations such as CAT/ CMAT/CUCET.

As per the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment guidelines, PwD candidates will be provided with following facilities:

1. Scribe facility: In case the candidate has physical limitation and required a scribe for writing the exam, he/she must be certified in the format provided by CMO/Civil Surgeon/ Medical Superintendent of a Government Health Care Institution.
2. Extra time: PwD candidates will get extra time of one hour whether such candidates use scribe facilities or not.

Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) will release the Assam HS routine 2027 soon. The AHSEC Class 12 exams 2027 will be conducted in Februqary and March 2027. Assam Higher Secondary Board exams are held in two shifts. The first shift exams is held from 9 am to 12 pm and the second shift exams from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

Different specialisations are available in the BSc BEd programme at Assam University. The name of these specialisations are,

The minimum score needed in Class 12 to be admitted to Assam University BPharm programmes is 50% in their higher senior secondary, especially in the relevant Science subjects. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 34513 and 47665. Admission to BTech Computer Science Engineering in Assam University is based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main entrance exam followed by JoSAA Counselling.

The university gives an Integrated BSc B.Ed, which is a four-year full-time course. This means the Assam Uni BSc BE.d course is the inclusion of two courses. In continuation, the course stretches for 8 semesters. 

No, aspirants cannot submit the Assam University application form offline. The student needs to register through university portal and fill the application form. At the time of filling the form, the student can choose preferred department and course.

For last year, the closing rank for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering was 81716 which is very close to this range. This was for the general category under the All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut-offs keep changing year on year, it's advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission to Assam University, Silchar.
