BUMAT notification 2026 will release in third week of December 2025. Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University will release the BUMAT application form 2026 online along with the official notification. Candidates who are desireous of taking admission to BBA programme of BVDU must fill the online application form on or before the last date. The last date for BUMAT 2026 registration will be notified. It is expected that BUMAT 2026 exam will be held in third week of June 2026 in CBT mode.

What is BUMAT?

BUMAT (Bharati Vidyapeeth Undergraduate Management Aptitude Test) is conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University (BVDU) for admission to its BBA/BCA course. It is a 2.5 hour duration test carrying 200 questions from English, Mathematics and Reasoning areas. Candidates will be able to fill the Application form for BUMAT online. Generally, the BUMAT exam is conducted in a single-day window. Q:   When will be the BUMAT exam conducted?
A: 

BUMAT 2026 exam will be conducted tentatively in second week of June. Candidates who will register for the exam will be able to appear for the BUMAT exam. The examination for Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) UG 2026 admissions will be held in computer based mode. Candidates had to report at the alloted exam centre. BUMAT exam was conducted for a duration of 120 minutes. As per the BUMAT exam pattern, the question paper consists of 200 multiple choice questions. Candidates had to choose a correct answer among the four options provided. There was no negative marking for any wrong answer or not attempted question. Candidates wothout BUMAT admit card were not permitted to enter the BUMAT exam centre.  

Q:   Is the BUMAT exam online or offline?

Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) will conduct the BUMAT (Bharatividyapeeth Undergraduate Management Aptitude Test) in offline mode. Candidates registering for BUMAT 2026 exam will have to appear at the exam centre to take the exam. Only registered candidates will be able to download the admit cards when released and know the alloted BUMAT exam centre. BUMAT 2026 exam is expected to be held across 62 cities in India. Candidates will have the opprtunity to select the desired exam city while filling the application form. Candidates are advised to be careful while entering the BUMAT exam centres. No request for change in the exam centre will be entertained once the application form is submiited and BUMAT admit card is issued.

Q:   What is BUMAT eligibility criteria?
A: 

Candidates preparing for BUMAT exam must ensure to fulfill the below presscribed eligibility criteria before filling the application form. Candidates failing to meet the eligibility criteria will be disqualified.

  • The minimum educational requirement for candidates is to have completed Class 12 or an equivalent examination.
  • The examination should berecognisedby the relevant educational board or authority in the country.
  • The candidate must have successfully passed this examination to be eligible to apply.

Minimum aggregate marks required:

  • Candidates should have obtained a minimum aggregate of 45 percent in their Class 12 or equivalent examination.
  • For candidates belonging to the SC/ST category, a relaxation is provided, and they are required to have a minimum aggregate of 40 percent marks.

Indian citizenship is mandatory:

  • All candidates applying for the position must be Indian citizens.
  • Non-Indian citizens or individuals with dual citizenship are not eligible to apply for this position.

Eligibility for candidates yet to appear for their Board Exam:

  • Candidates who are currently in their Class 12 and are yet to appear for their Board Exam are also eligible to apply.
  • These candidates must meet the minimum aggregate mark requirement specified by the institution
  • Once they have appeared for and successfully passed their Board Exam, they will be required to provide the necessary documentation to confirm their eligibility.

Candidates filling the application form must carefully enter the details. The BUMAT 2026 registration link will be activated in December 2025. The last date to apply for BUMAT exam will be notified. Candidates must carefully enter the personal details, academic details, exam centre preference and payment details. 

BUMAT application form once submitted, no requests for change in the details of the application form will be entertained. Candidates must check the list of the BUMAT exam centres before filling the application form. 

Q:   How can I pay the BUMAT application fee in offline mode?
A: 

Yes, candidates can pay the application form fee for BUMAT in offline mode also. To pay the fees in offline mode, Candidates must follow the steps mentioned below:

  • Visit the official website
  • Click on the tab 'Admission 2026'
  • Now click on the tab 'Apply now'
  • Users will be redirected to the BUMAT online application registration window
  • Sign up filling in the username, email ID and password and other details
  • Checkmark on the Candidate Declaration, Parent Declaration and enter the ‘Submit’ button
  • Once submitted, the candidate will receive a login ID and password Login through the login ID and password received to fill the application form

The admit card will mention the details like- name of the candidate, registration number, category, date of birth, gender, PWD, programme details, date of exam, time, city, centre address, declaration and important guidelines for exam centre. BUMAT 2026 results will be declared online. The BUMAT 2026 scorecard is available for download on the official website- bvuniversity.edu.in, for a limited period. Candidates obtaining valid score in BUMAT exam will be eligible to appear for the counselling process. During the BUMAT counselling, on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidate, college is alloted. 

Q:   How is BUMAT counselling conducted?
A: 

BUMAT 2026 counselling will be conducted in July 2026. The candidate will be offered admission based on their rank in the final merit list, the score obtained in the BUMAT exam, and the availability of seats for a particular programme at the candidate's chosen Institute at the time of BUMAT counselling and admission to the desired programme and Institute. Mere appearance in the computer centre-based entrance test and inclusion of name in BUMAT merit list does not confer any automatic rights to secure admission to the programme offered by the institute. The selection and admission to the programme is subject to fulfilling the BUMAT eligibility criteria. Candidates failing to meet the prescribed BUMAT eligbility criteria will be disqualied.

Q:   How can I pay college fee during BUMAT counselling?
A: 

The selected candidates will be required to pay the entire amount of tuition fees & other fees during the admission process through online mode through the fees portal of Bharatividyapeeth or by a Demand Draft drawn on any Nationalized Bank or Bharati Sahakari Bank Ltd. payable at respective city of the institute drawn in the name of concerned Director:

  • "Director IMED" payable at Pune
  • "Director BVIMR New Delhi" payable at New Delhi
  • "Director BVDU Institute of Management Kolhapur" payable at Kolhapur
  • "Director BV Undergraduate Courses" payable at Sangli

In case the candidate fails to remit the entire amount of fees, he/she is likely to lose his/her claim for admission.If a candidate fails to confirm admission given to him/her, the same shall stand cancelled and the resultant vacancy will be offered to the next eligible candidate from the list. However, if candidate is unable to report in person, he /she can depute a representative with an authority letter signed by the candidate along with the requisite documents.

Q:   I was not able to appear for the BUMAT counselling on allotted date. Will I be eligible to take admission based on the rank obtained?
A: 

BVDU releases the BUMAT counselling dates on the official website. Candidates must report at the centre on the given date and time for the BUMAT counselling. Failure to report for BUMAT 2025 counselling process on the scheduled date and time will result in the instantaneous cancellation of a claim of the candidate to the seat. The candidate must note that appearance for the examination and inclusion of name in the merit list does not necessarily mean that he/she will get admission to the institute and course. The admission will depend upon the availability of seats to the particular programme and institute at the time of his counselling. It shall be candidates responsibility to see the result BUMAT 2025 and confirm their merit number. The candidate should remain present for counselling as per the schedule.

Q:   Can I change the BUMAT exam centre after submitting the application form?
A: 

No, candidates will not be able to change the BUMAT exam centre once the application form is submitted. BVDU does not provide any provision for BUMAT application form correction window. Candidates filling the application form must carefully enter the details. The BUMAT 2026 registration link will be activated in December 2025. The last date to apply for BUMAT exam will be notified. Candidates must carefully enter the personal details, academic details, exam centre preference and payment details. 

BUMAT application form once submitted, no requests for change in the details of the application form will be entertained. Candidates must check the list of the BUMAT exam centres before filling the application form. 

Q:   How can I enter exam centre preference while filling the BUMAT application form?
A: 

BUMAT exam centre preference can be added while filling the application form. BUMAT 2026 registration forms will be released online. While filling the application form candidates will be able to select up to three exam city preference. BUMAT 2026 exam is expected to be held across 58 exam cities in India. Candidates will be able to choose form the list provided by the authorities. To select the preferred city for allotment of BUMAT exam centre, candidates must have followed the steps mentioned below:

  • Register on the official website of BVDU 
  • Login with the credentials created. 
  • Screen will display the BUMAT 2026 application form. 
  • Enter the exam city name as per preference. 
  • Fill up the rest of the application details
  • Submit the application form along with the payment of the application fee.
Q:   What are the qualifying marks for BUMAT?

There are no qualifying marks for BUMAT. To secure admission to desired institute of BVDU candidates must have fulfilled the prescribed eligibility criteria. As per the BUMAT eligibility criteria, candidate must have secured minimum og 45% marks in aggregate in class12th board examination. Also, candidate must appear for BUMAT. On the basis of the score obtained in BUMAT exam candidates are alloted the college and course during the BUMAT counselling process. Based on the BUMAT rank obtained candidates are called for the counselling process on specific date and time.

Q:   What is the full form of BUMAT?
A: 

The full form for BUMAT is Bharati Vidyapeeth Undergraduate Admission Test. It is an management entrance test conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University for admission to BBA programe of BVDU campuses. Candidates seeking admision to Undergraduate programe of BVDU BBA must appear for the exam. Candidates will not be allowed to appear for BVDU BBA admission process through any other management entrance exam score. Candidates will be required to fill the application form to be eligible for appearing in admission process. BUMAT is conducted once in a year. Candidates will have to appear for the exam on the prescribed exam date at the alloted exam centre.

Q:   When will the BUMAT result be announced?
A: 

BUMAT results 2025 has been announced. Candidates who appeared for the BUMAT exam can download their scorecard online when released. The BUMAT scorecard 2025 was released at bvuniversity.edu.in. BUMAT exam 2025 was held on June 15, 2024. On release of the BUMAT 2025 results, candidates will be able to check the following details on the scorecard:

  • Name of the candidate 
  • Candidate’s roll number 
  • BUMAT 2025 total score 
  • Result announcement date 

Qualified candidates will be able to appear for the BUMAT counselling process when conducted. Candidates will not be issued the physical copy of the BUMAT 2025 results. Candidates must esnure to download the scorecard online.

Bharati Vidyapeeth Undergraduate Management Aptitude Test (BUMAT) is conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University (BVDU) for admission to BBA/BCA programmes. The examination is a in computer based mode, wherein candidates will have to report at the designated exam centre. BUMAT exam is conducted for a duration of 150 minutes. Candidates must attempt 200 questions within the given time duration. No provision for extra time is applicable for students. Q:   What is BUMAT tie breaking criteria?
A: 

In case candidate score equal aggregate marks in BUMAT exam then their ranking will be determined on the basis of following order of preference:

  • If equal marks, the candidates will be ranked according to their percentage of marks obtained at HSC or its equivalent examination
  • If equal marks, the candidates will be ranked according to their percentage of marks scored at SSC or its equivalent examination
  • When all the above scores are the same, the candidates will be ranked on the basis of computerized random numbering

As per the BUMAT exam pattern there is no sectional time limit. BUMAT question paper will consist of four sections, namely:

  • Numerical Aptitude
  • Reasoning/Logical Aptitude

Candidates will be required to attempt all four sections within the given time duration. BUMAT exam is conducted for a duration of 150 minutes or two hours 30 minutes.
