Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra is a home away from home.

Placements: There are no placements for architecture department on the campus. Only training takes place on the campus for students. Students go for internships across India and abroad. Hope to see that some companies visiting the campus for placements until the year 2019. Many of the alumni have started their own firms. Most of the students are working in Japanese firms, and many have started their startups.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is upgraded to meet the needs of today. There are separate design studios for different batches. There is a computer laboratory, and it is facilitated with modern workstations. Building information modelling lab, building model making lab, and masters in urban planning lab are separately placed in the same lobby.

Faculty: A combination of both new and old experienced faculty members are there on the campus for students. Many visiting faculty members are also available on the campus. Students can ask queries anytime during the working hours. The course pattern is old, but currently, it is going under some necessary changes.

Other: Many events take place under various student recreational and educational clubs. The list of clubs is fine art society, Rotaract club, photographic society, dance club, dhwani music club, environment protection club(EPAC), N.S., etc., The campus is large, and it is spread over 100-acres. The college crowd is good. The college is 15 km far from Ranchi city, but there is bus facility for the city at every hour intervals. The campus is green, as it is surrounded by tall trees, and also near the hostels, there are tall trees. We have two large lawns in front of the main academic building.
