Good infrastructure and facility.

Placements: Though there was no placement till 2017, but the placement facility have started from 2018. Companies like TCS frequently conduct campus recruitment process at Burdwan University. Students get summer internship opportunity every year in the government organizations like NSSO, FCI, etc.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure is excellent. The university consists of Libraries for each department and one central Library. There is Wi-Fi facility available in each department. There are a number of hostels for the students and the research scholars of the university.

Faculty: The teachers are really very helpful, and undoubtedly they r well qualified and knowledgeable. The students can discuss their problem any time with the teachers. The department has taken the initiative to organise a weekly research scholar presentation.

Other: I choose this course because I love the subject. This subject makes me able to understand the situation of the economy. Every 2 or 3 years the department organises international seminar which is so beneficial for the students.

A place the helps you to boast your knowledge.

Placements: Though there wasn't any placement till 2017, but the placement facilities started from 2018. There were couple of companies came here, though they didn't mention any posts they were recruiting for and neither the mentioned any specific package. Around 2-3% of students get an internship offered by NSSO every year.

Infrastructure: Well, the facility and infrastructure is satisfactory. There are a couple of libraries, departmental and central. One is for departmental use and the central library is for every students of the university. There is Wi-Fi facility available in the department as well as in the library. The classrooms are not bad either. There are smart classrooms available as well, and a laboratory attached to it. There is a good canteen facility available for the students and staffs as well. The kind of hostel they provide is of good condition. There are different hostels available for males and females and every hostel has a cultural tradition as well. The quality of food they provide isn't bad too. Along with that, the university organise different cultural festivals and sports as well, and the medical facility is also good.

Faculty: All the teachers are very helpful, well qualified and very much knowledgeable. They are ready to help whenever you ask them. They are always available for you. They take real great care of the students. Not just the teachers, even the non teaching staffs and the senior scholars are also very helpful. They help the junior to understand the subject too. Well, no the course doesn't make them industry ready. The kind of course they offer, that help them to increase the knowledge, it's rather theory based, and quite orthodox type. It doesn't make them really job ready. It rather make them knowledgeable and help them to understand the subject and help them to stay connected to the academic places.

Other: I choose the course because I loved the subject, and I wanted to know more about it. It will be great for the students if they make them job ready. They conduct two different socio economic surveys to the rural places for the better understanding of the grassroot economics. Along with that, the university organise a feast every year along with other different events.

I am very much satisfied for our faculty, but dissatisfied for the placements facility.

Placements: There was no placement facility provided by our university campus. We wanted that facility, but we didn't get it. I saw the same thing in my seniors batch as well. I think that this is a very important need in our university. There is no internship facility as of my experience.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our university campus is very good. The library facility is also very good. The canteen is also nice, but not very good. Most of the necessary facilities are nicely available on our campus. There is the Wi-Fi facility, and the classrooms are also clean. The computer lab is not very good. There is hostel facility as well.

Faculty: The teachers are really very much helpful. They are knowledgeable. They help every student as the student needs. The faculty ratio is almost 7:2 as of my batch. The teachers teach like friends and not only for studies of a particular course, but they also help us for every need beside the particular syllabus or the course.

Other: The fest celebrated at our university is nice. They also provide the scholarship facility. There are various events that are conducted on the campus fo this college.
