Central University of Kashmir offers entrance-based admission to all its courses. The college accepts the score of the CUET entrance exam conducted by NTA for admission to UG and PG courses. Further, for MBA and BTech courses the university provide seat based on CMAT and JEE Main score, rsepectively. To be eligible for admission to any courses, candidates must apply and appear for the entrance exam.

The University has not released the separate placement data for BSc. However, the combined placement details for UG (3-year) courses has been released. Out of 56 UG (3-year) graduates 32 were placed during 2022 placements. In 2021, out of 49 students 10 were placed successfully. Central University of Kashmir accepts the Central University Entrance Test (CUET) scores followed by counselling for admission to its various courses. To be eligible for admission to CUK, candidates are required to register and appear for CUET. In 2022, the university released the final scores for various courses as tabulated below:

The University was established as the Central University of Jammu and Kashmir. It was established along with 15 other Central Universities by an Act of Parliament in 2009. The University has been granted 503+ acres of land during its establishment by the state government. CUK has 21 schools and 21 constituent teaching departments. These establishments offer 40+ PG, UG, Diploma, Research, and Vocational programmes.

A major concern about CUK for admission is the geographical placement of the University. The University is located in Srinagar and offers great set of courses along with placement opportunities and assistance. Apart from this, the University also offers scholarships for eligible candidates with technologically advanced infrastructure. It follows a Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS) for the evaluation of all UG and PG programmes.

Admission to CU Kashmir includes merit and entrance based eligibility criteria. Candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Class 12 along with valid scores in CUET UG/PG for the admission to UG and PG level courses. Furthermore, candidates must apply through the official website of the University. Shortlisted candidates must pay the fees and confirm the seat.

Central University of Kashmir (CUK) is expected to release the CUET 2024 cutoff list by the end of July 2024. The cutoff list will be available on the CUK official website, cukashmir.ac.in.

The CUET 2024 UG exam was held between May 15 and June 31, 2024. 

A 60 percentile is considered a passing percentile. A percentile above 80 or 90 will get you a good-ranked college.
