You must visit the college.
Placements: Almost 90 to 95 percent students are placed. Last year, the highest package was 1 crore in B.Tech CSE. It helps to build our future. This course offers jobs like AI engineer, data scientist, etc.
Infrastructure: The overall college is good and modern, with AI and computer labs. The hostel has good facilities. All medical, sports, and games facilities are there according to our interests. Wi-Fi is available in every corner of the college, with decent classrooms and modern labs with AC facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful with students. There are highly qualified teachers present to build our future. Many clubs are there which we can join with our students as extra-curricular activities according to our interest. Many clubs are there that help students become industry-ready. Faculty and extra-curricular activities are also there to improve our skills.
Other: The overall college is good.

Pretty satisfied because of the study structure, bad placements in 2026, and good infrastructure.
Placements: For my particular course, the placement rate was very low. The lowest package offered in my course is around 1.8 LPA and the highest is 10 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies are Infosys and Deloitte. Around 5-10 percent of the students got on-campus internships, mostly in Infosys. Top roles offered in my course included full stack developer, AI dev ops engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the university is actually pretty good, and in fact it got better in the last 2 years and still is improving. There is free high-speed Wi-Fi in every building, classrooms are neat and open, and the library is air-conditioned and contains a good collection. I personally isn't in the hotel, so I'm not too aware of it other than that the canteen food isn't for me really, sports and games are held pretty decently each year.
Faculty: Most of the teachers in my time there are really supportive and good with their teaching skills. Some of them have prior work experience in the tech field, so they usually guide me pretty well. The curriculum until my last year was honestly below the average industry standards, but during the last year they massively changed the curriculum and study structure. The exams are actually really easy, at least to me. I can't speak for others, but it is definitely on the easier side. The pass percentage is 90 percent and the remaining 10 percent includes students who are never present or didn't care.
Other: I chose BCA because I was interested in languages and computers. The best thing is a different language each semester. I wish there was more emphasis on projects from the very first semester or more focus on physical building rather than just books. Talking about events and all, this is where the university is better than most. There is often an event that everyone enjoys.

CGC University, Mohali, shaping careers in Forensic Science.
Placements: As I am from the Forensic Science department, there are very few placement opportunities under my course. Only a few students got placed, and that too in different fields, not under Forensic Science. Also, there are very few private opportunities as well under Forensic Science.
Infrastructure: Talking about the course, it consists of various subfields like Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. Talking about the hostel, as I have not resided in the hostel the entire semester, but some of my friends are in the hostel, they said it is okay.
Faculty: The teachers are very supportive and educated, but one big issue is that they consist mainly of M.Sc. passed faculty only, and that too, a little inexperienced. Apart from that, Ph.D. professors are good, highly experienced, and completely expert in their field of study. There are a total of six semesters.
Other: This course is very fascinating, and I always wanted to excel in crime-related things. According to me, they should add a major core Science subject in one of the semesters, as it is a requirement for a job. The crowd is fine in the college. There is a scholarship provided, along with that, there are many extracurricular activities that they organize.

My experience as a B.Tech Cyber Security fresher.
Placements: I am a fresher, so placement details are mainly from seniors. Around 70 percent of students got placed, as I heard. The highest package is 20 LPA and the average is around 8 LPA. Recruiting companies mentioned include TCS, IBM, Infosys, Capgemini, and Deloitte. Cybersecurity roles are also available.
Infrastructure: The campus has good infrastructure. Classrooms are AC and furniture is comfortable. Wi-Fi is available, and labs support practical learning. The campus has good greenery and flowers. Gym and canteen are also available. A full thali costs around Rs. 50-60. Hostel options range from 2-bed to 5-bed rooms, with AC or cooler facilities. Some hostels are on campus and some around Landran and Mohali. Transport is available for students. Four meals are provided daily, and washing machines are available at around Rs. 29-49 per wash.
Faculty: Faculty members are approachable and supportive. The Cyber Security curriculum includes ethical hacking, data security, cryptography, vulnerability assessment, and digital forensics. Practical learning is given importance. Exams are manageable with regular classes and preparation.
