My experience at CGC University, Mohali.
Placements: Packages depend on students' performance, and the startup culture is awesome. More than 90% of students have received internships and placements. Many MNCs regularly hire from the university. Top roles include Software Engineer, CEO, Data Scientist, Sound Editor, and many more.
Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi, air-conditioned classrooms, Physics labs, Chemistry labs, EEC labs, computer labs, and other facilities for different courses. There is also a good startup culture, along with a library, workshop, and canteen. The hostel provides laundry, gym, mess, and dispensary facilities. The overall quality is good.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good. Teachers are friendly. They explain concepts patiently. The course helps students develop skills for careers such as data science. This is important in the industry. University exams can be tough if students do not study well.
Other: I chose B.Tech CSE-SET because I love coding. The best thing about CSE-SET is that it provides many career options for the future. I feel the amount of homework could be reduced. There are many fests and events that students can enjoy. Overall, everything is good. Study hard, achieve your dreams, and enjoy life.

Placement conditions are poor. Facilities are very poor.
Placements: Top recruiting companies that come to this college are TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, and Wipro. The students who got internships from my courses are nearly 4 -5 students. Top roles offered in my courses are employee and nothing else. The highest package is nearly about 40 LPA and the lowest is 3 LPA. The average package offered in my course is 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: The facilities in the department are pretty good. Classrooms are clean and have projectors. Wi-Fi is available on campus. The computer labs have the required systems and software for practical classes. The library also has enough books and study material. The hostel facilities are average and provide basic things like beds, tables, electricity, and water. The mess food is okay but the taste and quality can vary. The canteen has basic snacks and food. Medical facilities are available for basic needs. There are also facilities for sports like cricket, football, basketball, badminton, etc. The facilities are decent.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful but most of the teachers are very rude in nature. The faculty is not good. Some of the teachers' behaviour is not good. They talk rudely in the class. The faculty of this college is below average. Some teachers are helping students.
Other: B.Tech is the course in which students have a better scope in life.

In my experience, the college is average.
Placements: The placement system is good in this college. I saw the students get placed in good companies like Amazon and Microsoft with good packages. The college provides DCPD classes for students. So that they can learn skills and get placed in good companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is below average. The course is good but there is no AC in the classrooms. Libraries are good but there is not enough space for students to get adjusted. The condition of the hostel is not good. The rooms are not good.
Faculty: The faculty of this college is good. Some other faculty members are not good because of their behaviour and rude talk. Some teachers are helpful they help students with projects. The course curriculum is good they can make students industry-ready. The students get internships.
Other: I chose this course because Computer Science engineering has a scope for students. We can learn skills in this course. The college organises fests, events, and scholarships for students.

Come to CGC University just for enjoyment.
Placements: I am in 3rd year so I don't know much about placements but according to my seniors many are not placed. The average package is 3 LPA to 4 LPA. Companies like Oracle, Capgemini, and IBM visit the campus. We have a separate placement cell involved for placement named DCPD.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is clearly not able to fit the crowd this year. We got so many admissions but the development in the infrastructure is negligible or not up to the mark needed. The class has Wi-Fi and all. The grounds are also there but not up to the mark. Newly built labs are good too.
Faculty: Normal exams but if you are in PTU then there are mass supplies, and you will be giving back exams for the whole of your B.Tech. Faculty is just roughly our age only just got here after doing their graduation. Very rude faculty. No knowledge about the subject.

Dissatisfied with event, fees, scholarship criteria, and attendance, but have understanding faculty.
Placements: Very few students got placements. The average package is 7 LPA-8 LPA. Companies like Capgemini, IBM, and Microsoft also recruit. Many companies this time took students for the sales department students were disappointed and had to search on their own for their jobs.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good with Wi-Fi, proper AC, and labs. The library has good books to read. The hostel has poor food, poor washrooms, non-understanding wardens, strict rules of no use, no water supply, and electricity most of the time. It's a non-surviving place.
Faculty: We have good faculty but they are very few, and we have to study on our own. Coming to college is a waste of time due to unwanted lectures. We have two MSTs, and then a final exam which helps to prepare easily. The course curriculum is also relevant. End semester exams are basically from the curriculum only.
Other: They take extra fees in the name of events which also range between Rs. 1,000- Rs. 1200 and I don't know if they increase that. If I don't want to attend the fest, I should not pay for it but we have to waste our money for college promotions. They told to provide scholarship but in the first semester average result of everyone was below 8 CGPA and very less got more than 8 so they cancelled my scholarship forever didn't gave in the next semester too.

College is value for money. It is a good option with fewer crowds and a good college life.
Placements: Approximately 60-70% of students get placement offers that are worth joining. The highest package is 1 crore, though it is a little controversial because the college has not released the name of the company that recruits the student yet. Seniors say that the student is currently on an internship period. If he performs well, then he gets the offer of 1 crore. The lowest package, as far as I know, is around 3 to 4 LPA. I do not know much about internships, but the campus itself provides a campus program with the Capgemini Centre. I do not know much about college internships.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are well maintained. The college keeps a routine check on them. If anything is wrong with a classroom, they fix it, so the classrooms are perfectly fine. The college also provides good support for extracurricular activities. The classrooms and library are well maintained. The food is fine, though it is not as well developed as other Chitkara campuses.
Faculty: The curriculum and exams are okay. It is a normal college but puts too much pressure on attendance. I do not know how the answer sheets are evaluated because I get 19 marks in one subject and fail by just one mark. Another student sitting behind me copies from me throughout the whole exam and gets 33 marks on almost the same answer sheet without diagrams. So, I feel there is no consistency in the evaluation.
Other: Campus life is good, and the fest is good. The crowd is decent. It is a good alternative because it is economical and cheaper. It definitely provides good value for money.

Good infrastructure, decent placements, and supportive faculty.
Placements: This college does a lot to help us get jobs. They have placement drives all the time. We also get training to improve our problem-solving skills. We have coding sessions and mock interviews to prepare us for these things. Many companies from the computer industry, software companies and service companies come to our college. If you are good at coding, can talk to people well and do well in school. You will have a chance of getting a job. This college also helps us get internships.
Infrastructure: The Computer Science and Engineering department has good computer labs with internet. We have classrooms. Our library has lots of academic resources. I think the campus is really clean and they take care of it. You can get Wi-Fi in most areas. The hostel facilities are okay. They clean the rooms regularly.
Faculty: The faculty members are really helpful and easy to talk to. They know their subjects. They encourage students to join projects, workshops, and tech activities. The course covers Computer Science topics and has live sessions. Internal assessment and practical work also count towards the grade.

Best infrastructure and great events.
Placements: Placements are decent as it's a new university. Around 60-70 percent of students got placed. The highest package is 24 LPA, and the average is around 8 LPA. Companies like ServiceNow, Autodesk, Mu Sigma, and XPERI visited. Around half the batch also got internships in good roles.
Infrastructure: Campus infrastructure is one of the best parts. There are AC classrooms, good Wi-Fi, modern labs and comfortable furniture, which make classes better. Campus is full of greenery. Hostel provides 4 meals daily, AC/cooler rooms, washing machines (Rs. 29- Rs. 49) and a gym. Canteen thali is also budget-friendly (Rs. 60 full meal).
Faculty: Faculty is supportive and easy to talk to. The 1:25 mentor-mentee system really helps during academics and projects. The curriculum is industry-oriented with practical learning. Exams are moderate, so if you attend classes and study regularly, scoring well is manageable.

It depends upon your domicile. B.Tech admission is offered on the basis of a valid score in JEE Main for Punjab domicile candidates. For the candidates belonging to other states, the admission to B.Tech is offered on the basis of marks in 10+2 followed by counselling conducted by PTU.
