Q:   Do I need 60% in Class 12 to get admission in DU?
    A:

DU is considered one of the most competitive universities in India for Commerce, Science and Arts education at the undergraduate level. The university and its affiliated colleges was attracting the cream layer of crowd till the time admission was subject to Class 12 scores. While reserved category candidates still had minor chances of getting into a not-so-popular course of DU with 60% in Class 12, a General category student with 60% had no chance of getting into any good college or course at DU.

However, starting 2022, DU admission process has shifted to CUET-UG based admission process. Those with a valid score in CUET UG exam who have passed their Class 12 are eligible to take admission now. While the chances of getting into a good DU college are still low at this score, the chances of getting a seat have increased now (provided you score extremely well in CUET UG).

Q:   Can I get admission in Delhi University without CUET?
    A:

CUET UG is compulsory for admission in the affiliated colleges of University of Delhi for UG courses. Delhi University introduced admissions through CUET scores in 2024 for candidates who seek admission. Candidates will not be granted admission on the basis of merit of class 12th. However, there are some specific percentage criteria needed to appear for the CUET exam for class 12th candidates which is given below:

    • Students must have passed Class 12 or appeared in Class 12 from a recognized board in any stream to take admission to bachelor’s degree programmes in the central, state, private or deemed universities.
    • For the General category, the candidate needs to secure a minimum of 50% in Class 12; for SC/ST, candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% in Class 12 to be eligible for the CUET 2025. For BTch programmes, the minimum aggregate for the General category candidates is 45%, and that of the reserved category candidates is 40%.

Morever, candidates who wish to apply for Delhi University must have a valid score in CUET. Undergraduate courses including BCom, BTech, BA, BSc and more are offered by the affiliated colleges. Candidates can check the entire list of UG courses by clicking here. Also, to know the detailed analysis for Delhi University, stay tuned to this page

Absolutely satisfied with the faculty, really good infrastructure, facilities, etc.
Placements: On the basis of percentage, more than 15 students will get internship and that's nice but little competitive too. And the internship is paid that is helpful too for the student who live at PG as a tenant. And yes we get internship at a very reputative Library or college library or central library of Delhi university and the duration of internship programme is 6 month.
Infrastructure: Our department's infrastructure is good and given facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classroom, library etc. Are very nice and labs are fully air condition and the availability of computers are also good and the staff members are also helpful, if we have any issues, they are always available to help.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful in nature. They taught us very nicely. Exams were taken as per time and yes according to students exams are difficult, so yes the semester exam are little tough and minimum 50-60 % you will get after the passing the examination and maximum as much as you can.
Other: Extracurricular activities are the 2nd thing ,1st one is that, this is a job oriented course and just one year course. After completing this, you can apply for Librarian, Library assistant etc. Post. And their wealth is also good.

Our college has amazing faculty members and great professors.
Placements: Almost 60% of the students are placed in our course. After completing the course you are offered an internship by the department. It depends on the performance of the students. They may select the best scorer students for internships. They may be placed in the central library of DU. Top role is only of library trainees.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the department is good. Facilities of computer labs and library and space of sitting area are there for students and faculty members. But it needs an elevator in a department for physically imparted students. They face a problem to go with upstairs. The food served is good in the canteen area.
Faculty: Professors of our department are so great and their teaching level is different and easily understandable. Our HOD is so supportive of the students' issues regarding anything they are concerned about it and take action on time for their students. The course curriculum is so relevant and it deals with real-life situations also. They prepare students in such a way that they get success in their life ahead because of their guidance and support. Exam level is not that difficult if you study carefully. The pass percentage is 45 for each semester. Though MLIS is the 1-year course so it has 2 semesters.
Other: I chose this course from DU because this is the best-known department of Delhi University. The environment is so academic here. The quality of teaching is best here. Our course library science subjects give a better understanding of how a library works and maintains the books and requirements of every user in a university or college. As far as events are concerned, there are several events conducted in our department. The platinum jubilee was celebrated this year in our department for completing 75 years. Different activities are conducted like seminars on library facilities or maybe what can we do in improving our department.

Yes,   for CUET B.Ed (DU), the most reliable preparation resources are a mix of standard CUET books (Arihant, Oswaal, Physics Wallah), free online study material (EduRev, SelfStudys), and previous year papers. These cover English, General Test, Teaching Aptitude, and subject‑specific sections.
