DU M.Lib.I.Sc Eligibility & Highlights 2025
The University of Delhi also offers an M.L.I.Sc programme of one-year duration to the students. Admission to this course was both entrance and merit-based, however, the University might offer only entrance-based admission to the students. DU has started post-M.L.I.Sc Internship Training Programme for the students of the Department of Library and Information Science, wherein the students will be given a chance to work for six months in the Delhi University Library at a stipend of INR 7,500 per month.
Selection to the programme is based on the entrance exam (DUET) and merit in the last qualifying exam. Applicants must be 21 years old on October 1 of the year of admission to the course. Below are the details regarding the Delhi University M.L.I.Sc course:
- Duration: One year
- Eligibility (merit-based): B.L.I.Sc from DU only with 60% or above aggregate for the General category. Relaxation is given for SC/ST/PH and others as per university rules.
- Eligibility (entrance-based): B.L.I.Sc from DU or any other recognised university with 50% and above aggregate or equivalent grade. Relaxation is given for SC/ST/PH and others as per university rules.
- Selection: Merit-based/ DUET

CUET UG is compulsory for admission in the affiliated colleges of University of Delhi for UG courses. Delhi University introduced admissions through CUET scores for candidates who seek admission.
Candidates will not be granted admission on the basis of merit of Class 12 There are some percentage criteria required to appear for the CUET exam for Class 12 candidates which is given below:
- Students must have passed Class 12 or appeared in Class 12 from a recognized board in any stream to take admission to bachelor's degree programmes in the central, state, private or deemed universities.
- For the General category, the candidate needs to secure a minimum of 50% in Class 12; for SC/ST, candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% in Class 12 to be eligible for the CUET exam. For BTch programmes, the minimum aggregate for the General category candidates is 45%, and that of the reserved category candidates is 40%.
Morever, candidates who wish to apply for Delhi University must have a valid score in CUET. Undergraduate courses including BCom, BTech, BA, BSc and more are offered by the affiliated colleges.

DU registrations via CUET 2023 for UG programmes began on Feb 10, 2023 and were open till Mar 30, 2023. Additionally, for admission to PG courses, DU CUET-PG registrations for the 2023 session started on Mar 20 and were open till May 5. Interested candidates were able to apply online on the official website of CUET UG and CUET PG.
Followed by the application forms of CUET UG and CUET PG, DU has already started the DU CSAS registration for final college and course allotment of students who qualified the CUET UG exam. The process will begin soon for CUET PG qualifiers as well.

According to me, if you are getting a seat in DU, choose it as your priority. DU is a better choice in terms of academics and affordable fees.
LPU is a good option if you want modern infrastructure, a diverse campus, practical learning, internships, and placement support. But the decision is yours,

The Sri Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College is well known college for various courses including BA, BSc, BCom, Certificate, MA, MSc, UG Diploma, PG Diploma and MCom. The courses are offered in several specialisation. Students have to fulfil the course specific eligibility criteria to get admission.
