Chitkara University Admission 2026: Eligibility, Application, Fee & Selection

The university accepts CUET scores for UG courses. The university considers CUET scores for admission to its Integrated BBA, BSc, BDes, and other programmes. Candidates must qualify the CUET exam to be eligible for admission, and the exam will cover specific subjects and a general test section.

Chitkara University, Chandigarh admission process is simple. Candidates have to fill out the form on the university's website with accepted entrance exam scores. In case of university-level test, aspirants need to appear for the same after filling out the form. The minimum aggregate for courses is 45%-60% for UG and PG courses. Aspirants with decent score can easily get admission.

Chitkara University is one of the most reputed private universities in Punjab district. For the purpose of taking admission in institute minimum of 60% marks are required in 10th and 12th class (all courses).

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exam takes place in the month of April every year. Whereas, the application form for Session 2 will be available on the JEE Mains website. The exam is conducted by NTA.

Chitkara University reserves seats for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates as per the policy of the state government. There are 25% seats reserved for bonafide candidates of Himachal Pradesh at HP campus of the university. At the Punjab campus, there are 15% seats reserved for Punjab domicile candidates.

During counselling/admission at Chitkara University, Chandigarh, all the candidates are required to bring the original and attested copies of the following documents:

• Certificate and mark sheets of Class 10 and 12
• Certificate and mark sheets of graduation (only for post-graduate programmes).
• Migration certificate from the board/university last attended.
• Rank card of qualifying examinations. If the result is not declared, then attach the admit card wherever applicable.
• Character certificate as per the format given on the Web site.
• Medical fitness certificate as per the format given on the Web site.
• Reserve category certificate, if applicable.
• In case of any time gap in studies, an affidavit declaring non-involvement in any criminal activity during the gap period and duly signed by an executive magistrate/ notary public is to be submitted by the candidate.
• Two additional recent, non-attested passport-size photographs with the candidate’s name and date of birth clearly written on the reverse are to be submitted.

Yes, you can get admission in B.E. at Chitkara University without JEE (Mains) on the basis of Class 12 merit if you get minimum 70% aggregate in Class 12 or minimum 70% aggregate in PCM.

Yes, there is an age limit to apply for B.E. at Chitkara University. Only candidates born on or after October 1, 2004 are eligible to apply in academic cycle 2026-2027.

The university offers the following Global Pathway Programmes:

• B.E. in Computer Engineering with York University, Canada.
• B.E. in Computer Science & Technology with Arizona State University, USA.
• B.E. in Software Engineering as well as B.E. in AI & ML with Deakin University, Australia.

SAT score results are declared within two weeks of exam conduction. It usually takes 13-14 days for College Board to release the scores of SAT exam for the applicant, but the score reports take some more time to be relased. Within a week or two the score reports with SAT exam scores are sent to the colleges the applicant had selected during SAT exam registrations. Thus, applicants should ensure that the SAT exam date they choose, the results of the exam align with their admission applications. Also the time for sending the SAT score reports should also be taken into account. 

Chitkara University does not provide any additional entrance examination for admission. There are two main criterias for B.Tech. First of all, the candidates must pass their 10+2 with a minimum of 60% marks of the total marks (mandatory subjects are Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) in any stream. And secondly, candidates are required to appear in national-lavel entrance examination, for example JEE Main (mandatory for 2023 batch).
