Good infrastructure and vibrant events, but placement opportunities are limited.

Placements: I am 2nd year BCA student at Chitkara University. Placement situations are average. Even 40% student of our department are not placed. Was part of the BCA 2023-26 batch. Placements are average. Only around 40-45% of students got placed. The highest package is around 5 LPA, the lowest is 2.8 LPA, and the average is about 4 LPA. Few got internships in small local companies, not big names.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good campus size is around 100 acres. Our department has decent Wi-Fi, well-equipped labs, smart classrooms, and a good library. Hostel facilities are average, food in the mess and canteen is okay but not great. Basic medical facilities are available. Sports and games options are decent.

Faculty: Faculty members are not well. Focus on theory subjects, not practical subjects. Coding culture is also very bad. Faculty members are not very helpful or skilled. The focus is mostly on theory, with very little practical exposure. Coding culture is poor. The curriculum is outdated and not industry-ready. Semester exams are average in difficulty, and the pass rate is around 90-85%.

Other: This campus is not situated in Chandigarh. Chitkara University is in rajpura Punjab whom are 40km far away from Chandigarh.

Not very good placements but nice faculty members and good infrastructure.

Placements: Chitkara University achieves 90-95% placements in BCA with packages ranging from 3 LPA - 20 LPA. The average package varies between 5 LPA - 6 LPA. Top recruiters like TCS, Infosys, Deloitte, and Wipro offer roles such as software developer and data analyst. 80% of students secure internships at firms like Microsoft and Amazon.

Infrastructure: Chitkara University offers Wi-Fi, advanced computer labs, smart classrooms, and a vast library. Hostels are secure with clean rooms, Wi-Fi, and power backup. The mess serves hygienic food. Medical care is excellent. Sports facilities include cricket, football, badminton, and a gym.

Faculty: Chitkara University teachers are helpful, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. They offer excellent teaching quality with practical learning. The BCA curriculum is industry-relevant, focusing on IT trends. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty with a high pass percentage of 90-95%.

Other: I chose BCA because it was in my field of interest. I wish it had more value though. Fests and everything are very good here.

Dissatisfied with the college. The worst nightmare one can ever have.

Placements: No good companies were coming for BCA in Chitkara. Call centres were approaching a one-room company with no reputation. My uncle is the CEO of a renowned company, and my mentor asked me to place some of the students there. There is no standard for companies coming here. My CGPA was 9.4, and I couldn't sit in the placements because no teaching companies were approaching. Many companies, like Amazon, have also blacklisted Chitkara because of its poor management and level of teaching.

Infrastructure: As a hosteller, the food was awful. The wardens are too strict. It is like a jail where you are trapped and there is no way to go. It is an absolute waste of money, resources and time. The mentors are not at all helpful and only care about the attendance records.

Faculty: The teaching quality is poor. Only one or two teachers know what they are actually teaching. The rest just come, open their PowerPoints, recite them as if we can not read them, take attendance and go. There were no roadmaps provided or explained if a student wanted to pursue some language or career path. I don't recall the teachers even telling us which of the career paths we could choose. The only focus was on theory; please don't expect that you will get any practical knowledge from there.

Other: The only good thing about Chitkara is its beautiful campus, which is of no use when there are no placements.

It is a good university in terms of placements.

Placements: Almost 95% of students got placed with a good salary package. The highest salary package offered by Microsoft is 40 LPA. The average salary package offered is 15 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 7 LPA. Top product-based recruiting companies are Amazon and Microsoft, and service-based recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, etc. These companies visit our college every year. Almost 60% of students got internship offers in different startups and top MNCs like Cred, Cognizant, Accenture, etc. Top roles offered are SDE, software development engineer, data analyst, and quality assurance engineer.

Infrastructure: The campus provides all kinds of facilities like Wi-Fi, fully equipped labs, equipped computer labs, and clean classrooms. All facilities are available in each classroom. The infrastructure of our college is well-built and very good. The quality of facilities is very good in our hostel. The quality of the food in the mess and canteen is very hygienic. They provide different food items every day with good quality. Medical facilities are good. Our college has a rich playground for sports and games. All sports facilities are available in the sports room.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and well-knowledgeable. They are kind. Their teaching methods are very effective. The course is relevant and makes students industry-ready with a good future. The difficulty level of exams is average. You have to clear your concepts to pass exams easily. The pass percentage is 50% including practical exams.

Other: I opted for his course because it has high demand in the future, and I am also from a science background. Through this course, you can get remote jobs from foreign countries. All things are good in our college. Improvements are not needed in this course. Our college events like story writing competitions, poetry writing, short films, etc., and fests like Rhythm, Goonj, etc. The campus crowd is good. The connectivity is good. The campus surroundings are very good and beautiful. Our college provides many scholarships to students according to their eligibility. Our campus organises extracurricular activities like music, drama, dance, etc.

Our college offers low salary packages.

Placements: In the final semester, students are eligible for on-campus placements. Many companies like Amazon, Infosys, and Google visit our campus to hire students. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA and the average salary package offered is 2 LPA. Almost 70-80% of students get placed based on their performance. We do get internship opportunities in companies like TCL, etc., and a stipend is also provided.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the library is the best and we have access to all the updated books. Air-conditioners are available in classrooms. It also provides fans and projectors. Various sports activities like cricket, kho-kho, and basketball are conducted on campus.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college have an approachable attitude. They are very helpful regarding the doubts of students about academics or suggestions. All faculty members are Ph.D. scholars and they are knowledgeable in their respective fields. Term exams are conducted here. Semester exams are moderate.

Other: There are many fests and programs held on campus for students to participate in. Extracurricular activities like Bhangra are also conducted on campus.

It is very good to study in such type of university, it is very big.

Placements: In our college about 70% of students are placed by top recruiting companies. The highest package which was offered to us is about for 24 Lacs per annum and the lowest package is about 3.5 Lacs per annum. Recruiting companies are Google and Microsoft etc. Around 20% of student good internship from company Chandni ltd.

Infrastructure: Hostel rooms are too good. Free Wi-Fi is available for 24 hours and the service is also very good in gym and health facilities are good. Classrooms are also good. The teachers were helpful for our studies. Labs are well-maintained which help us in our studies. Overall, it's a very good experience.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, well qualified and they have a great knowledge about teaching. The teaching quality is very good from me. The university gives us environment of industry in some area and built us for industry. Exams were neither easy nor wrong for me.

Other: I have an interest in computers so I chose this programme and the best thing about the course is that you have do not have to do body work this is all about mind work. Certain event and fest which were held in our university. The crowd is not much in our university. Connectivity is also very good. Campus surrounding is very green.

It is the best college for placements.

Placements: I studied at Chitkara University, pursued bachelor's in computer application. 95% of students were placed. The highest package offered was 4-5 LPA, and the average package was 1-3 LPA. The lowest package was 50,000 to 1 Lac. Top recruiting companies were Google and Infosys. Students with above 90% got placed in good companies as software engineers.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is the best as it is NAAC A+ accredited, and many shoots were held on campus. The library has all the best and updated books. Course learning is nice as there is practical and theoretical learning and knowledge. Hostels are good and cleaned every day. Mess and canteen food are good but a little expensive because of taxes. There is a place for sports called Sportorium.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, and whenever we have a doubt, they solve it without hesitation. They also guide us for future. The course curriculum is the best as we get both practical and theoretical knowledge, and it is definitely related to the industry. Semester exams are easy, but the difficulty level keeps increasing, so we need to prepare well.

Other: I chose BCA in this university because they teach industry-related problems, and we can use them in future. They even teach hardware detection in computers. I think there should be more practicals to improve our coding skills. There are many events related to information, sports, shoots and many more. The topper students get scholarships.

I am satisfied with the college.

Placements: Students who have more than 8 CGPA get placements. The highest salary offered was up to Rs. 30,000 per month and the average salary offered was Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 20,000 per month. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 10,000 per month. Top recruiting company is Infosys. Students with 10 CGPA get internships from different companies which come to take interviews.

Infrastructure: Best facilities are provided on the campus starting from comfortable chairs and benches to good food and comfortable classes. Quality of food served is excellent in the mess and canteen. There are many activities held on the campus in which you can participate.

Faculty: Chitkara University hires the best teachers for students. Their way of teaching can be understood by anyone. The course curriculum is relevant. Exams are conducted as ST1, 2 and end-term and the pass percentage is above 35%. So you need to pass the exams, and one of the best STs is counted.

Other: BCA in Chitkara University is beneficial because they not only tell you about software development but also give you extra knowledge. There are various amount of events held in college and once you come to the campus you will love the surroundings.
