Bachelor of Management Studies - Batch of 2028
Offered by Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences for Women (Delhi University)
2.8
My honest review of Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences for Women.
Placements: As far as I've come to know about the placement from this college, it isn't good at all. Unless you're a topper, you might get a placement of 4-5 LPA. No idea about an internship. Students find internships on their own. For the course BMS, top roles offered are HR, Sales, Marketing and all related.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very bad. It's a very small campus and not many classrooms are available. Not every class has AC, only the seminar rooms and labs have it. The canteen has no proper seating area. Quality of food available in the canteen, I'd say 6/10. The water coolers look hygienic.
Faculty: Not every teacher has good teaching skills. Some just come and blabber and dismiss the class. Some teach very well, and you can understand it. The course curriculum is relevant. If you study properly, it'll make you industry-ready. Semester exams are not very hard, but also not very easy. There isn't any passing percentage, but you just need to have at least a D grade, which means you've passed the subject. If there's a grade below D in your market, then that means you'll give the exam again in the next subsequent semester.
Other: I chose BMS because it'll help me in MBA later on and for corporate jobs. The best thing about this course is that it gives you very good knowledge about the marketing and business world. I wish that there were more faculty available for more core subjects of the course. When there isn't faculty available for specialisation in HR, they'd just discontinue the specific subject. Events are average, not very good, scholarship is okay, extracurricular activities are okay, and the fest is also average.

It is a good college of DU for the applied science course. All teachers are well-qualified.
Placements: 40% of students get placed. The highest package offered ranges from 6-7 LPA. The average package offered ranges from 3-4 LPA. The lowest package offered ranges from 2-3 LPA. Companies like Tata and TCS hire students. About 50% of students got internships. All the nearby companies mostly come to my college.
Infrastructure: Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences has smart classrooms, a Physics lab, a library, Wi-Fi, seminar halls, and sports facilities. There is no hostel. Students use nearby PGs and flats in Dwarka with metro connectivity. In my college, there is a good canteen.
Faculty: All teachers are very helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are of a moderate level. The pass percentage is 90%. All students are very laborious and industrious. All students get good marks.

No placement cell, still job security.
Placements: Our college doesn't have a placement cell, but our teachers are very supportive, and they help us to find good internships and placements. Also, as food technology is very demanding nowadays, finding jobs is also easier than in other fields. Companies like Coca-Cola, Nestlé, etc., recruit students from our college. Also, many of them go for their own startups.
Infrastructure: The college has no hostel facility. Bhaskar Society in front of the college provide PG and flats. During the rain, water fills up. Wi-Fi is set up, but connections are not set up now. The library is good, it has all the necessary books. Classrooms are also good, but projectors are only in 1-2 rooms, and they also don't work.
Faculty: The faculty is amazing and highly qualified. We have even got opportunities to work with the UN, FSSAI, etc. The course curriculum is very interesting, with subjects like Bakery, Dairy, etc. These subjects make us ready for industry exposure. Semester exams are medium difficult, but if studied well, they also become easier.
Other: I chose this because my course is in high demand, and we have 100% job security. Also, there is no such threat of AI. My course doesn't need any such improvement. But events, campus surroundings and scholarships should be looked at. The campus surroundings are very poor.

It is good for faculty and research work.
Placements: There is no placement cell available at my college, so you have to depend on yourself, and the same goes for an internship. The top roles one can get from doing this course are quality executive, regulatory director, and food safety officer, along with an R&D role.
Infrastructure: There are very limited facilities available as it is a government college, and Wi-Fi service is available in some parts of colleges. No hostel service is available, one has to look for their own accommodation plus the classrooms are in good condition.
Faculty: The one thing is that the teachers are excellent, and they know what they are teaching, along with it, they are highly knowledgeable. The course content is relevant. The semester exams are moderately easy, one can get passing marks by studying for a few days.
Other: The campus life is boring as most of the crowd is of research and topper students, but now in the current year, the fests are starting to be good. There are fewer options for extracurricular activities.

Best place to explore yourself.
Placements: Subjects like history, political science, geography, etc., don't have any placement scope in DU and it's just an eligibility for competitive exams. That's all. The knowledge and depth you will find here in the subjects are really impressive and more than enough.
Infrastructure: No doubt the infrastructure and other facilities of DU North campus are fantastic. The labs, classrooms, libraries, etc., are totally good may differ from college to college but overall good. One thing that is a little bit bad is that the Jio SIM network is weak in the North Campus.
Faculty: Most teachers are knowledgeable enough but many are boring too. One bad thing about teaching is that classes have a period of 2 hours and 2 to 3 classes simultaneously. The course is relevant and adheres to the competition exam syllabus too. The passing percentage is 33 percent.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in Political Science and international relations. It helps us to connect world affairs with our subject. It should be more practical rather than a 6 to 8-hour lecture only. Events and fests are okay in DU but the campus crowd is fantastic. I have many foreign friends too. The scholarship process is a little bit slow and not good.

The best placement and infrastructure are present in our university.
Placements: Most of the students of our university got job offers from this department. The highest package goes to Rs. 50,000 per month, and the average was Rs. 30,000. Top role offered were health psychologist, developmental psychologist, clinical psychologist, and counselling psychologist. So in my opinion, this was one of the best course in our university which grow your future.
Infrastructure: We had a beautiful infrastructure in our college. The campus was mostly green. Classrooms were properly decorated. We had a huge library where all types of books were available. The library was open for 24 hours. Our mess food quality was average, canteen was not very clean.
Faculty: All teachers were well qualified. Most of them were understanding and very kind to students. They always solved student problems. Student teachers' bond in our university was so strong. Their teaching method was too good, all students easily understood every lecture.
