Good faculty members and placements record in 2025.
Placements: I am currently pursuing a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Dayananda Sagar University and will graduate in 2027. Internships and placement opportunities are there for students. Maintaining good grades will be beneficial for placements. All the tech companies and median core companies give offers. The median salary package is 3.45 LPA, the average is 6.78 LPA, and the highest package is around 53 LPA. The admission to this college is based on COMEDK, KCET, and JEE Main.
Infrastructure: All basic facilities are available in college. Lecture halls, amphitheater, libraries, common rooms for students, discussion rooms, and even companies are setting up their labs for practical knowledge of students. NRI hostels are available with mess facilities and good food served here. Security and Wi-Fi enabled campus make it more comfortable and hostel is very secure safeguarding by the security guards.
Faculty: All teachers have doctorate degrees and Ph.D. holders. The way they teach is just awesome and more focused on industrial knowledge than bookish knowledge. They are very supportive and work very hard for students satisfaction. They organize workshops and industry visits and even sometimes tech fest for enhancement of the skills. Supportive faculty members and staff make your four years journey comfortable. Industrial-level knowledge and high-quality skill set building are done here.

It is one of the best colleges I joined in 2023. It is a beautiful college around Bengaluru.
Placements: In the ECE department, the total number of students who got placed is 100%. The highest package is 18 LPA. The lowest package is 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Wipro, TCL, and Infosys visit the college for placements. We also get internships during the 3rd year based on our skills.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, and a Wi-Fi connection is available. Classrooms have a smartboard. It has a large library. The quality of food is good in both the canteen and mess. There is a hospital on the campus.
Faculty: Teaching quality is good. Faculty members are knowledgeable. Teachers are so helpful, and they help us solve all types of problems. The course curriculum is relevant. We have separate courses for industrial activities. Semester exams are easy to write. There is enough time for exams. The pass percentage is 40%. Faculty members who handle the department are PhD holders and doctorates.
Other: ECE is a helpful course, where we can get into both the computer and system side in the future, so I chose this course. Everything is good about the ECE course, Yearly thrice events are conducted. The campus surroundings are good. We can get scholarships and the head office will help us. It conducts extracurricular activities. It has a dance club, music club, etc.

Knowledgeable faculty members but room for improvement in facilities.
Placements: In the ECE department around 8% of students secured placements. The highest package offer is 8 LPA while the lowest is around 3.4 LPA, The average package stood at 5 LPA. Some top recruiters include Capgemini, Accenture, and a few midsize tech and core companies. When it comes to internships approximately 5% of students landed opportunities on their own with a valued role. I have no details of top recruiting company for the course and the top roles offered for my course as I have not attended any college placements.
Infrastructure: My course is Electronics and Communication Engineering. Wi-Fi is available only in library. Labs are also available for this course. Classrooms are pretty spacious. Library is best for solo study but if you want to do group study then private rooms are also available which are always occupied, so it's better to find an empty class. The college provides hostel facilities, but since I am a day scholar, I don't have personal experience.
Faculty: Faculty members in the ECE department have a strong academic background, with many holding M.Tech or PhD degrees in areas like VLSI design, embedded systems, signal processing, and communication networks. Some are actively involved in research, patents, and publications. The course curriculum is relevant but it does not make students industry-ready. Personal-level training and development are mandatory to get industry-ready and a lot of internship opportunities have to be taken through contacts or the help of seniors. Semester exam difficulty is somewhat moderate because teachers are very lenient and pass percentage is 40% (CIA & SEE). The best things about this course is the teachers are very friendly, and the course actually gets interesting if one has keen interest in it.
Other: I chose ECE engineering because I am following in my father's footsteps. It would be better if more practical based lab experiments are introduce be shown to us to increase interest in the subject. Events going on in our college are pretty frequent.

Inside DSU: A student's perspective on academics, campus life, and beyond.
Placements: Equivalent to 75% getting on-campus placements, the highest package this year is 11 LPA, and the lowest is 4.5 LPA. The average package is 5 LPA-7 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Accenture, Cognizant, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, and HGS, etc. 80% of students got internships in companies like MathCo, Havells, Bosch, Nokia, Infineon, IPQC, Syntech Bio solution, Lead square, etc. Roles offered in our course are software analyst, front-end and back-end developer, VLSI, embedded robotics, and network analyst.
Infrastructure: Every department has good infrastructure with high-quality desks with racks for bag storage, a good range and speed Wi-Fi connection, and digital classrooms with stage and podium. Labs are well-equipped with sufficient equipment which makes a batch-wise. Library is too good with private study rooms that come with TV access for presentations, and all kinds of journals, magazines, newspapers, and academy books are available. Hostel infrastructure is excellent with a movie theatre, salon, gym, video game room, indoor games room, and private zones. Food is good, maintains hygiene in mess area, food is served 3 times with snacks.
Faculty: The strength of the department lies in its staff. A majority of faculty members have Ph.D. from elite universities and institutions from India and abroad and many come with a strong R&D background. This course program is to equip students with the necessary core competency to succeed long-term in engineering/ entrepreneurship careers after completing their B.Tech. And preparing to undertake PG studies and research as career options. Semester exams are not too high or too low, if we attend classes regularly and study the material which they give is enough to crack. 85%-90% is the pass percentage.
Other: The ever-increasing pace of development in electronics, audio, and video communication systems and the automation in the industry have made an electronic engineer a catalyst for change in modern society. Electronic gadgets and communication systems of the present age have tremendously improved the quality of life today that's why I chose ECE. Every week there will be events going on, yearly twice grand fests, scholarships are given, support lot in extracurricular activities, peaceful campus.

Good facilities, decent placements, good infrastructure, and faculty members .
Placements: The placements for ECE are not so good. It's average and not many people got placed from DSU since the placements are collectively conducted for all the Dayananda Sagar colleges. The highest package last time was around 13 LPA, and the lowest was 3 LPA. The average package was 5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The facilities are decent enough but there's a problem with the Wi-Fi. The college does not provide students with the proper Wi-Fi. Hostel is also not worth the money. They take a fee of 2 lacs, but the food is bad. Hostel facilities are good. Overall, the hostel is average .
Faculty: The faculty members come with an ample amount of knowledge and experience in the field. They have good knowledge about the subject and course they teach. The course curriculum is relevant enough. Semester exams are not so difficult. They are moderately tough. Pass percentage is 40% of total marks, including CIA components.
Other: I chose ECE for its job options. We get many options in hardware as well as the software field. Moreover, India is setting up a semiconducting industry of its own by 2027, opening lacs of job opportunities for ECE students.

Review of a person from DSU.
Placements: In our college, up to 75% of students get placed every year. The highest package last year was around 14 LPA, and the lowest was 4 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Amazon, Accenture, Wipro, etc. I don't know about internships because I'm currently studying in 3rd semester, but our seniors tell me around 60% of students got internships.
Infrastructure: I really liked the infrastructure of this college and the hostel. There are many facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, lecture halls, and the library—everything is awesome. In the hostel, I didn't like the food because it takes time to adjust, but for people from Bangalore, it's good.
Faculty: The teachers here are very helpful and knowledgeable. I liked the way they teach and focus on every student; they don't only concentrate on toppers, which I appreciated the most. Yes, the curriculum is relevant and makes the students industry-ready.

Our college provides good placements.
Placements: Around 70% of students got placed this year. Fewer core companies visit our college to recruit ECE students. The highest salary package offered in our course is 8.5 LPA and the lowest salary package is 3 LPA. Students got placed with a salary package of 8.5 LPA for a developer role at Brillio Company and a sales role at Dell Company. Less than 30% of students got internships in companies like EY, Dell, and Brillio.
Infrastructure: Our college has spacious classrooms. There are only 2 blocks in the current campus as the campus is small. Library is small compared to other colleges. Labs are well-equipped. Mess food is very good.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are good and few of them have good knowledge about their subjects. They have good electives and subjects in the course curriculum, but more practical exposure should be given to students. Students have to score 50% of marks from CIAs and the other 50% in the semester exams. Exams are easy to clear.
Other: Our department actively participates in many events organised in the college. Less events are organised in our college such as an ethnic day, a fest, and a sports event in a year.

It is a good college that provides good placements and nice infrastructure .
Placements: 64% percent of students are placed in our course and the the highest package is INR 14.5 Lacs per annum, average package is INR 7 Lacs per annum and the lowest package is INR 4.5 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies are Havells, Wipro lighting corporate, Tata electric company etc. 38% percent of students got internship from our course in these companies. Top roles offered are telecom engineer, software analyst, technical director, communication engineer etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is well maintained, classrooms are nice and library is quite peaceful and full of various books of renowned authors. Good labs are there, college play ground is good, WIFI is enable and the hostel is good. Separate hostel facilities are provided for boys and girls, medical facility is available with free medicines for sick students. Attached bathrooms and mineral water is provide to all the rooms and canteen food is good too.
Faculty: I am truly satisfied with the faculty, teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable. Professors in our college have many qualities like friendly nature, good experience etc. and they teach in a good manner which is helpful to the students. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes students industry ready. The examinations are not difficult in this college, students can pass easily and 52% is the pass percentage .
