Satisfied with the placement and infrastructure.

Placements: I am in the 7th semester. 300 students have been placed. Around 30% of students got placed in TCS. Five of them got a package of 10 LPA. The rest got packages of 4–7 LPA. Capgemini, Infosys, Cognizant, & Accenture are recruiters.

Infrastructure: GIET has the best infrastructure. It is among the best private colleges in Odisha. It provides smart labs, AC classrooms, & free Wi-Fi on campus. Hostels are very big and comfortable. Most of the rooms are new and have AC. A big gym is also available inside the campus.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They are qualified and knowledgeable. They assist with curriculum-related courses. They provide mentoring during projects. For placements, we get extra classes in technical subjects, aptitude, and English verbal skills. They teach us about industry-related topics.

Placements: There was 100 percent placement last year. UltraTech, Hindustan Construction Company, & Jindal were top recruiting companies. Top package this year is 8 LPA from Tata Projects Limited. The average package is 4 LPA. Top roles include Project Manager, Structural Engineer, etc.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very good and modern. The campus is quite large and spread across around 150 acres. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus and in the hostels. There are a total of 13 hostels available for boys. The rooms are small and have attached washrooms. The food quality is good.

Faculty: Teachers are very friendly to us. They assist us during our projects and internships. They are well educated. They have a lot of experience. This course is highly relevant. It makes students industry-ready. For placements, the college offers classes in personality development and aptitude.

GIET University is a good college, but companies are not interested in coming for placements.

Placements: Now, placement is something that all students need. For that, a student chooses a college accordingly, as it is better for both. This college provides an average package of 4–5 LPA. Most companies also visit for placements, like TATA, Accenture, Infosys, Zscaler, etc. Internship opportunities depend on students' skills and performance. The top roles offered in our course are in software and web development areas.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure looks good. Facilities are well served. Most facilities are good, like Wi-Fi, which is provided at 4 GB per day for each student. Labs have good equipment. The classrooms are decent. The library is a place where anyone can easily study and improve their skills. The hostel food is good, and the services are also good. A canteen is available. There is also a cafeteria inside the campus to visit during free time. Medical facilities might need to be improved, but other facilities are available.

Faculty: Faculty members are educated, but some teachers are not able to explain a topic properly. Some teachers are highly qualified from IITs and NITs. The teaching quality is overall good. This course is curriculum-relevant because it is the main course in our branch, which makes it good and helps make students industry-ready. Semester examinations are moderate. If students attend daily classes and study accordingly, it is easy to pass. 80 percent of students pass the semester examinations.

Summary of our college placement offers, infrastructure, and facilities.

Placements: Placement is good. 70 to 80 percent of students got placement offers in our course in the previous year. That shows the university's efforts towards students. The highest package is 20 LPA. The lowest is 3 LPA. Internship offers depend on students. The roles that most placement offers give are software development and full-stack development.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is the main view of a university that is designed in an organised manner, with services and facilities well decorated. Wi-Fi is helpful for students to get jobs and placements, study, and use the internet. Labs provide hands-on experience and help gain knowledge. Classrooms are available with no AC. The library is present with a modern smart library system. Hostel facility is decent. I don't like mess food. Mess food is hygienic. Medical facilities are available but if you use any items and take medicine, you need to pay. Sports facilities are also decent, and our college provides multiple game facilities.

Faculty: Faculty is the main character for a student but here all teachers are educated and knowledgeable but they do not teach real industry work. They only tell students to do something and complete it themselves that's one thing that needs improvement on the teacher's side. Our course is best for placement and industry work. Semester examinations are good and not hard compared to other streams, if you study then you can pass. I think the passing ratio is 90 percent.

Great college, but the teachers are not experienced.

Placements: For this year, mostly startup companies are coming for placements and offering a package of 5 LPA to 7 LPA with a 2-year bond. No one got a company internship in this year, so the college provides an internship for us. Top roles offered are software engineer, data analytics, and AIML.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is big and well maintained but the classes are not good at all. The rooms are small. The library is good and provides facilities like AC, Wi-Fi, etc. The mess is good. The paid canteen provides the best food at a lower price. Hostel rooms are old and not cleaned.

Faculty: Most of the teachers have left and most teachers here are lab assistants. Their teaching style is good but they do not have much experience. For the core subjects like C and Java there are only a limited number of teachers. The course curriculum can be improved to meet industry needs.

Best placement in 2025 by GIET.

Placements: For the placement, the GIET T&P cell provides technical, reasoning classes, and interview sessions for every student. It invites MNCs like Accenture, Capgemini, Deloitte, TCS, Cognizant, etc. In the previous year, TCS hired around 150 students and more than 30 students were hired by Accenture. The packages are around 5 LPA to 15 LPA.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not good for CSE department but it provides comfortable classrooms and labs. The library is open 24/7. Mess quality is very bad, as we are paying a high amount. For sports and games, multiple indoor facilities and fields are available here. Medical facilities are also available.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful in clearing doubts, projects, and hackathons. All of them are qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching style is good and easy to understand. Course curriculum is made according to industry requirements. Semester exams are easy but some of the core subjects come hard.
