Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) - Batch of 2023

Underwhelmed by placements and decent faculty.
Placements: In our batch, there were well over 200 students enrolled in the course. Unfortunately, internships were not offered at all during our programme. Despite that setback, around 15-20% of students received placement offers. Many were hired for clerical roles such as data entry clerk, office clerk, and administrative assistant in small private firms and local businesses.
Infrastructure: Our campus infrastructure is strong overall. We had adequate classrooms that were spacious and well-ventilated with functional Wi-Fi in academic blocks. Plus a basic library housing textbooks and reference materials. While labs were limited (mostly theoretical frameworks, with no dedicated practical setup), the faculty made efforts to conduct online and offline sessions effectively.
Faculty: Faculty were generally helpful and well-qualified, with most instructors demonstrating subject matter expertise. Teaching quality was consistent. Most teachers explained concepts clearly, responded to student queries politely, and returned assignments and exams in a timely manner. Faculty also provided feedback that guided students to improve.

Infrastructure and facilities are really good.
Placements: I don't have information about the placements or top recruiters. A 5 CGPA is required. The college placement cell plays a pivotal role in the placement process. These dedicated departments work tirelessly to establish connections with companies, organize placement drives, and prepare students for interviews. I do not have further information.
Infrastructure: College has a good infrastructure with Wi-Fi, a good network connection, and good labs and library. The hostel is currently under construction. The college is number one in sports and games. There are many events that can help students. The college also has well-equipped classrooms, modern laboratories, a comprehensive library, and robust safety and security measures.
Faculty: College has the best teachers and good faculty. They are adaptable, communicative, empathetic, patient, and dedicated to fostering a positive learning environment. They also demonstrate a love for learning and a commitment to continuous improvement, making things easier to understand and more enjoyable to learn.
Other: It's good value for money.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2026

Peaceful campus and good teachers, but no placements for B.Com/BA/B.Sc students.
Placements: In my course, there are no official placements offered through the college. As per my knowledge, no companies visit for campus recruitment, so there are no specific highest, lowest, or average salary packages. I'm not aware of any top recruiting companies or internship opportunities provided by the college in our course. However, I would like to highlight that students from our college often become more creative and confident because we are encouraged to participate in various activities and events throughout the academic year, which helps in building skills for the future.
Infrastructure: The college has a peaceful and beautiful campus with a lot of greenery, which creates a positive environment for students. The classrooms, labs, and other facilities are well-maintained, and the Wi-Fi connection is good. In my opinion, the overall infrastructure is very satisfying and supports a good learning atmosphere. Although I am not a hostel student, I have heard from my friends that the hostel facilities are quite good. The mess and canteen provide hygienic food, with prices starting from Rs. 30 and above. Medical facilities are available on campus, and basic sports facilities are also provided.
Faculty: According to me, most of the teachers in our college are quite good. Some are average, but some teachers are very inspiring. Especially my HOD, she's amazing and the best teacher I've had there. The course is good, but I feel the course alone is not enough to get a job. We need to learn extra skills or maybe do another 2-year course to become industry-ready, as we don't get placements from college. The semester exams are not too difficult. If you attend classes and study properly, you can pass easily.
Other: I chose the B.Com course because I want to do an MBA in the future, and I had heard that this college is good for commerce students. One thing I feel could be improved is that the course should include some creative skills, such as art or drawing. That would make learning more interesting and fun. About the campus, everything is perfect.

M.Sc. in Applied Geology - Batch of 2022

Goa vibes are different, enjoy college life.
Placements: College has good placements, with a placement rating of 3.9 out of 5. Many students are placed, and the highest package offered by a company was 8 LPA, while the lowest was 2.5 LPA, with roles primarily in the research and development field.
Infrastructure: College has fantastic infrastructure and good water facilities. The Wi-Fi facility is well-stocked with academic and reference books. Hostel facilities are limited, but they will be decent with a basic 24/7 water supply. Sports facilities include a spacious ground.
Faculty: Faculty members of the geology department are very friendly and well-experienced in their respective subjects. Moreover, their teaching is well-balanced, theoretical and practical. The semester exams are easy to pass and not difficult to score, though the exams are strict.

M.Sc. in Marine Science - Batch of 2025

Reality of M.Sc. in Marine Sciences from Goa University.
Placements: The course is limited to 20 students at once. There are no placements that the department provides. Instead, they won't allow me to opt for internships during the course. Institutes like NIO are good exposure but they are also disappointed with the level of knowledge students are passing out from GU. Attendance is another hot topic.
Infrastructure: Laboratories and classrooms are fairly equipped with instruments like LAF and AAS. Classroom is facilitated with projector and air-conditioning. Wi-Fi is available but not working properly. Computer labs have a lot of issues that don't get resolved immediately. Hostel facilities for graduate and post-graduate students are the same and allow two students in a single room. Mess food is really the worst, and there are a lot of complaints that are delayed several times.
Faculty: Many teachers are biased and support favoritism. If you don't stay in their good books, you might not be treated well. Teaching quality of few teachers is fair, but others are really bad at teaching. The curriculum is relevant but there are a lot of things that are necessary to be learned from a research point of view. But they don't really teach them. It definitely does not polish the student, least that teachers find the positives within the student and guide them to use it efficiently. The semester exams are moderately difficult.
Other: I had chosen this course for the sole reason of placement. But I was misguided. There are no best things about career. The students in marine science program couldn't enjoy the events or take part in them without bunking the lectures. Scholarships are available but they take a lot of time to sanction it (literally it took one whole year to credit the amount. The lectures are so hectic and go up to 05:30 PM. There is no hope for the improvements.

Very satisfying service and management.
Placements: 55% of the students placed in our department. The highest package was 8 LPA, the lowest package was 3 LPA, and the average package was 6 LPA. Some students got internships in a few companies that reached our college.
Infrastructure: College campus is surrounded by plants, trees, and hills. The classrooms and labs are modified and well-managed. Wi-Fi facilities are only for teachers and college staff. A vast collection of books is available in the library. The quality of food in the mess and canteen is good.
Faculty: Teachers provided for our course are not very qualified and knowledgeable. They do not take much interest in teaching or helping the students. The teaching quality is average. Our course is curriculum-relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready.
