GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology BTech Admission 2025 is entrance-based. Admissions will be based on JEE Mains Rank and class 12 percentage. Preference is given to JEE Mains Rank holders. Uttarakhand Technical University upholds counselling session for the purpose of admission as per the score secured in JEE Mains. STEP 1: GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology BTech Application Process
Online counselling for all BTech programme is done after declaration of JEE Main results (last round of counselling will be conducted in offline mode at the Controller of Examination Office). Check below steps to be followed for course admission:
Step 1.1: Students should register themselves on the online counselling portal (https://uktech.ac.in/en/page/counselling-2024-25) by paying the registration fee of INR 1,000 and entering their personal details and selecting the course (lateral entry, in case applicable).
Step 1.2: After verifying the contact number and email, the students are advised to login and fill all the formalities.
Step 1.3: Upload the required documents and along with the educational qualifications and submit the application by reviewing it after paying the application fee.
STEP 2: College Allotment Process
Once the college is allotted the along with the given specialisation, the student can directly visit the college and get the document verification done. If any disparity is found during the stage of document verification, the admission may be subject to cancellation.
STEP 3: Admission Confirmation
Once above said things are completed, the students are required to pay the admission fee to the college and assure the admission. The total tuition fees for the course is INR 1.67L. However, students are requested to pay the mess charges per semester in advance.

The counselling process is held by the UTU (Uttarakhand Technical University) for admission into BTech at GBPUAT. The registration process is online. The first round of the counselling is online whereas, the concluding rounds of the counselling process may require students to be physically present at the counselling venue.
For admission in the BTech Lateral Entry Programme the students are required to appear for the counselling with the Diploma merit and qualifying exam result. The GB Pant University provides the students with this opportunity as a result of which the students with Diploma degree can directly take admission in the third semester of the BTech course.
GBPUAT offers admission based on entrance exam score for most of the UG, PG and PhD courses. Patnanagar University conducts GBPUAT entrance exam for various UG and PG courses such as MSc, BSc, etc. The university conducts separate exams for UG, PG and MCA programme. Besides, the university also accepts national-level entrance exam such as JEE Main for BTech, GATE for MTech, ICAR AIEEA for Agriculture courses, etc. Once the selection process is over, the university conducts counselling round.
