B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2029
3.2

Average college life at Graphic Era Deemed to be University. The crowd is lazy and distracted.
Placements: A huge percentage of students are not eligible for placements due to unfair exam practices by the university in terms of attendance and backlog. The highest was 60 LPA and the lowest 1.8 LPA, with the average around 4-5 LPA. Mostly Wipro, TCS, and other mass recruiters hire. Almost all internships are filled by students themselves. No significant support is provided by the college. Mostly SDE or SWE roles are offered.
Infrastructure: Most classrooms are outdated, like they were built 10-20 years ago. Wi-Fi is poor. First-year labs are bad. The library is cramped up in the break, and it's difficult to study as there are no power ports available. The quality of hostels is average, and so is the food. Medical facilities are average. Sports events and games are good.
Faculty: Most teachers are helpful and equally qualified. Teaching quality may vary depending on the teacher, but most are good. I think it's fairly relevant to this date as they're working on both our hard and soft skills. The difficulty would be 5/10, and the pass percentage isn't disclosed, but it's around 70%.
Other: Events are frequent, but the management is not good. Scholarships are offered, but they are a scam as they set the criteria high.

Comprehensive and industry-oriented B.Tech aerospace at GEU.
Placements: Over 90% of students got placed. The average package is 5.38 LPA, the median package is 7.25 LPA, and the highest is 54.80 LPA. Top recruiting companies are ISRO, Indian Air Force, Tata Advanced Systems, Airbus, DRDO, MRO, etc.
Faculty: The curriculum is designed to provide a solid foundation in aerospace engineering principles, including aerodynamics and propulsion with both core courses and electives allowing students to specialize in areas like aircraft design and computational fluid dynamics. The faculty at GEU's Aerospace Engineering department is generally well-qualified and committed to student development. They employ diverse teaching methods, including PowerPoint presentations and pictorial aids to enhance understanding. While some students have not mentioned that faculty members are helpful, others have mentioned that the teaching quality varies across different professors.
Other: The programme includes core courses, electives, laboratory, work projects, and seminars often conducted by industry experts from organisations like NASA, ISRO, and HAL.

Satisfied but could do better.
Placements: 20-25% of students placed, the highest package is 52 LPA, the lowest package is around 2 LPA, and the average is around 6-7 LPA, top recruiting companies are Infosys, TCS, and Tech Mahindra, the internship percentage is around 10-15%, and the companies are Goldman Sachs, Amazon. Top roles: software engineer, SDE3.
Infrastructure: Labs, classrooms, and library are very good with comfortable seats and good equipment. Wi-Fi is average. For sports, the teams are good. Mess food is average, and canteens are great. Clinic is good for quick check-ups. Hostel facilities are good as they provide necessary things.
Faculty: Campus has a good number of quality teachers, but some of them are average. The curriculum gives students enough idea about the industry, so with just a little help, they become industry-ready. Semester exams are a bit easy compared to other colleges, and the pass percentage is pretty high, around 80-85%.

Satisfied with my college.
Placements: I am a student of BCA at Graphic Era Deemed to be University, currently in the 3rd semester. My passing out batch will be 2027. Placement criteria of this college is good. If we give rate out of 5 that would be 4.5. The highest package of my course is 12 LPA, and the lowest is 5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are very good. The quality of hostel is good for the students, and the quality of food is also good. They provide different menu everyday for the students. The facilities for sports and medical in my thinking this college is the best.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is also good at making concepts understandable, and they give real-life examples. It makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams in this college are moderate, and the pass percentage is 20 out of 50.

The college has good placements, infrastructure, but average faculty.
Placements: I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) and one of the major highlights of my course is the placement opportunities that the college provides. The placement record here is consistently good and students from different academic backgrounds get the chance to sit for interviews with reputed organizations. What makes it more encouraging is that the placement process is not limited to only the top ranking students. Even average students with the right preparation and guidance are able to secure good jobs through campus placements. This shows that the institution focuses not only on academics but also on placements.
Infrastructure: I don't live in the hostel but the infrastructure is good. I have heard from friends the hostels are decent with all time Wi-Fi and water coolers running 24 hours. The classrooms are more than good. The hostel is good, the mess food is decent, the canteen has variety, plus we have medical help, and sports and games facilities.
Faculty: The teachers are okay, but you have to study by yourself. They are qualified, but the teaching quality is average, and some are really helpful. The BCA curriculum is mostly relevant and industry-oriented. Semester exams are not very tough if you study regularly, and the pass percentage is quite high.
Other: If you can do hard work, you can easily get a job.
