UCEED is conducted by IIT Bombay to offer admission to aspirants in Bachelor of Design (BDes program) program offered at participating colleges. The UCEED exam has two parts. Part A is a computer-based test that comprises three sections, while Part B will include a design-aptitude and a sketching-based question. Three sections of Part A of the exam consist of Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions, Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). In UCEED 2026, candidates will have to attempt around 59 questions in three hours duration.
There is negative marking in each exam section of UCEED 2026 and so aspirants are advised to refrain from making any wild guess in the test and this is the reason why mock test and sample papers are effective in UCEED 2026 exam preparation because they help aspirants determine the format and pattern of the exam.

To determine how to effectively manage time in the UCEED exam, aspirants are advised to practice as many mock tests and sample papers as they can get. Listed below are some sample questions that candidates can solve to know the type of questions they can be asked in the UCEED 2025 exam paper.
To do well in UCEED 2026 exam, improve these skills: Improve your drawing skills - Practice free-hand drawing. Use 2 grades of pencil - H-grade to do rough work and B to do quick sketch and shading. Work on improving your creativity and be innovative Solve previous years question papers to improve problem-solving and time-management skills. Understand the basic concept of drawing, and learn various forms of drawing - composition, proportion, line drawing, etc. Taking mock tests will help the candidate get an idea as to how much time it takes to solve a section or question.
UCEED 2026 exam will be conducted for a duration of 3 hours from 9 am - 12 noon. On the day of exam, candidate needs to report at the exam centre at least 2 hours before exam commences. Candidate will have to report at 7 am. No candidate will be allowed entry inside the exam hall once the exam commences. So, the candidate must be punctual about reaching the UCEED 2026 exam venue.

Update on the UCEED 2026 exam
IIT Bombay will conduct the UCEED exam 2026 on January 18. The exam is conducted for admission to the B.Des program offered by participating colleges. There are around 225 seats offered through the UCEED exam. UCEED 2026 exam will be conducted in 27 cities.
The name and address of the UCEED 2026 exam center allocated to the candidate will be mentioned on the admit card. The UCEED 2026 admit card will be released in the first week of January 2026.
Exam officials will make the necessary arrangements through the test centre administrator (TCA) of the examination centre to provide a panel of scribes (amanuenses). Only such candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be considered for scribe services.
Scribes will be students of Class XI. The PwD/Dyslexic (severe) candidate has to choose a scribe from this panel. The candidates are not be allowed to bring their own scribes.
The last few days are very crucial in the context of UCEED 2025 exam preparation. It is because if you mess up these last few days, all your efforts in the last few months and years could go down the drain: Here are a few tips to follow in the last few weeks leading up to the UCEED exam: Focus these last few days on revision Solve sample papers. Try to solve at least one sample paper a day. Take mock tests. Do quick revision of important topics. After taking the mock or solving the sample papers, do a quick analysis and SEE if there are any quick remedies to costly errors. Don't start any new topic. It is because it will eat into crucial revision or practice time. Also, note that starting a new topic so late in the day can only add to the anxiety, something you need to avoid.
Once the UCEED 2026 counseling process is over, the candidate is not allowed to shift from one institute to another. The candidate will have to select their preferred institute at the time of counseling registration.
IIT Bombay will conduct UCEED 2026 counseling registration in March 2026. Candidates who have been allotted a merit rank can apply.

Yes, the IIT Indore cutoff 2025 varies across different rounds and categories. For the last round, IIT Indore cutoff UCEED 2025 was 119 for BDes admission for the General AI quota. On the other hand, for the OBC category candidates, the cutoff rank was 61 for the last round. Refer to the table belo

The admission cut-off for UCEED 2025 will be released on April 21, 2025.
The seat allotment will be released online at the UCEED 2025 - IIT Bombay admission portal uceed.iitb.ac.in.
To download the seat allotment-cum-cutoff, you need to click on the seat allotment download button given under B. Des 1st Round of Seat Allotment heading. Note that no log-in is required to download the seat allotment results pdf.
Candidates who are allotted seats have to accept the seat and pay the fees. Note that candidates were also given the option to withdraw their seats.
