Gujarat University LLM Eligibility & Highlights 2025
LLM is a two year course offered at PG level. Aspirants are shortlisted for the programme based on their graduation. Gujarat University LLM course is offered in four specialisations through four affiliated colleges. Candidates who have completed graduation in Law are eligible to apply for any of the courses. Interested candidates must meet the below-mentioned eligibility requirements to get into the LLM course:
Candidates should have passed qualifying exam at the first attempt with at least 50% aggregate in the final year examination or exam of last two semesters of the degree of Bachelor of Law (Three years’ or Five Years Integrated LLB Programme) of Gujarat University or other Universities recognised and approved by the UGC to apply for LLM.
A candidate who has obtained LLM degree from Gujarat University or other universities in one area of specialisation will not be eligible to get admission in the LLM degree programme with the same or another specialisation.

1. Application Process
The application process consists of first filling out the online application form from the University's official website and paying the application fee.
2. Selection Rounds
Students have to check what the eligibility criteria is for the course they want. For eg., MBA and PhD course require candidates to appear for an entrance exam, such as CMAT, whereas for UG diploma, BA, and BDes course, students are only needed to pass the merit criteria which is a certain percent of marks in Class 12.
3. Counselling & Admission Confirmation
After completion of the selection rounds, aspirants are required to come for counselling and document verification. For MBA, ACPC Counselling is required. Shortlisted aspirants need to confirm their seat by paying the fee.

The university offers over 700 courses at UG, PG, PhD, certificate and Diploma levels. Additionally, nearly 709 courses are offered in a full-time mode and six courses in part-time (Classroom) mode. The courses are offered in over 12 streams, including Engineering, Science, Teaching & Education, Law, Design, Aviation, etc. Some of the popular courses include MBA, BJMC, BSc, BBA, LLB, MBA, BDes, PhD, etc.
Gujarat University admission is merit-based for most of the courses. However, for some PG and PhD level programmes, aspirants need to qualify for the national or university-level entrance exam. Candidates need to complete a minimum of Class 12 to apply for UG courses whereas graduation is required to apply for PG programmes. The university offers admission to most of the courses based on the merit of the aspirants in the last qualifying exam.
