Gujarat University MCom is a PG-level programme offered in Grant-in-aid and self-financed modes. The two-year course is offered in the full-time mode. The university offers various specialisations under the MCom programme, some of which are offered through the colleges and institutions affiliated with Gujarat University. Gujarat University MCom Admission 2025: How to Apply?

To get Gujarat University admission for MCom students have to go through online registration, merit listing, and admission confirmation. The steps for Gujarat University MCom admission process are given below:

Gujarat University MCom Application Process

Students need to visit Gujarat Common Admission Services (GCAS) portal to apply and submit the registration form with the prescribed registration fee. While applying, candidates must indicate a minimum of 10 preferences of programmes and the respective university schools, departments, colleges, or institutions online.

Merit Listing

MCom admission at Gujarat University is merit-based. The university shortlists candidates based on their aggregate in the qualifying degree examination. After the online document verification, the admission committee of the university releases a merit list based on the official website of Gujarat University. The merit list is prepared based on the candidate's merit, reservation category and availability of seats in their preferred specialisations, colleges and departments. 5% seats of the total seats are reserved for candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from a university other than Gujarat University.

Admission Confirmation

The seat allotment is based on the merit lists released by the university. Shortlisted candidates must report to the university for document verification. As the final step, they must confirm their admission by paying the applicable Gujarat University fees for MCom. The fee for the two-year programme ranges between INR 2,800 and INR 36,000. The mentioned fee range has been sourced from the official website of the institutes/sanctioning bodies. It is still subject to change and hence, is indicative.

Really good infrastructure and facilities and good placement.

Placements: 65% of students have been placed in my course. The highest package is 8.5 LPA, and the lowest package is 3.4 LPA. The top recruiting companies are HDFC, SBI, AXIS Bank, etc. The top roles offered in my course are Accountant. 56% of students got internships in banks at your course.

Infrastructure: The college has CCTV cameras for students' safety. It has a Wi-Fi system, well-equipped labs, classrooms, library, auditorium, etc. Hostel quality is not good and major students are nearly president. The canteen food quality is good and healthy. The college provides medical facilities for suddenly sick students.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, and some teachers give suggestions for exams. Teachers' teaching quality is no doubt good. This course is curriculum-relevant. It makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams in my college are not tough; teachers don't allow cheating. Pass percentage is 70-80%.

Other: The college campus environment is really good. Fests & Events are organized by the college. I think the hostel facility needs to improve. Extracurricular activities are also provided for students. I love this subject; that's why I chose it.

The top recruiting companies are LIC Insurance, SBI HSBC, etc. The top roles are Accountant, Financial Advisory, and Manager. In my course, many students got internships, almost 50%.

Infrastructure: The college has a Wi-Fi system, well-equipped classrooms, labs, and a library. The hostel is not of good quality. The college has a canteen that provides good quality and tasty food. The college offers medical facilities for students. The college infrastructure is really good.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is good, but some teachers' topics are not understood. This course is curriculum-relevant and makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are normal in my college, with a pass percentage of 80-85%.

Other: I like this subject because I found my career. The campus surroundings are good.

The canteen provides good-quality food for daily use. For students, there are medical facilities, but hostel quality is difficult for students. Sports and games help to relieve frustration.

Faculty: Teachers are qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. Their teaching quality is good, but some teachers are very rude and do not understand their topics properly. This course is curriculum-relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not tough, and the pass percentage is 80-85%.

Other: College hostel facilities need improvement. I want to get a job in this field; that's why I chose this course. The campus has always been crowded.

Infrastructure: In my course, college provides computer facilities, a Wi-Fi system, a library with new edition books, labs, and well-equipped classrooms. College provides canteen facilities where we can get healthy food for daily use. Hostel facilities are not too good. They provide sports and games facilities.

Faculty: All teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, but some teachers do not know about teaching, which makes it difficult for students. The course curriculum is relevant and prepares students for the industry. Semester exams are moderate, not too hard, with a pass percentage of 75%-80%.

Other: College provides scholarship facilities for students. I chose this course because it helps me pursue my dream job in my career.

Absolutely satisfied because of friends, good placements in 2020, and really good infrastructure.

Placements: If there are 100% of students who have passed the 10th grade, then most of 40% of students select commerce in 11th or 12th grade, and after that, some students select Bachelor of commerce. The lowest package was 70,000 per year. And the highest package was 300000 yearly. The companies are: HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Aditya Birla Group, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure structure of this college is too good. It feels like heritage. And at the same time, it's modern too. There is always available Wi-Fi and a library, but the classrooms are too big. At this college, there is no canteen facility. But if you are interested in sports or DP and want to go into another field, you have a good chance of doing so.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful in their own subjects and all teachers are available for you if you have any doubt. Yes, the students will get the job of accountant. But before that, you should do your internship. After that, they will pay you more based on your experience. There are 6 semesters in this college for this course. The pass percentage is 55%. It's a good number for your career.

Other: I was interested in accounting. That's why I chose this course. I could do CA also. But in that course, the exam is too hard and you have to clear the 8 semester papers. And if you don't clear any one paper, you are not accepted as a CA.
