According to the Gujarat University MCom eligibility criteria, a candidate must have passed the qualifying examination for one the following courses from a UGC-recognised university:

• BCom
• BBA
• Equivalent degree of any recognised university

A candidate who has passed the qualifying examination from a university other than Gujarat University is required to obtain a Provisional Eligibility Certificate (PEC) from Gujarat University.

Step 1: Gujarat University Application Process 2025

For Gujarat University admission, the first step is to fill out an online application form. Candidates are required to visit the official website of Gujarat University to apply for the course of their choice. They also have to pay an application fee before submitting the application form.

Step 2: Selection Rounds 

Candidates need to fulfil the eligibility criteria for each course to get admission. For some courses, such as MBA and PhD, candidates may be required to qualify for entrance exams. However, admission to courses such as UG Diploma, BA, BPA, and BDes, is based on the aspirant's marks in the last qualifying examination. Gujarat University provides scholarships to the lower backward class or SC/ ST for better education and financial support. More than 30 scholarship schemes initiated by the Government of Gujarat are covered by Gujarat University. For developing high-quality research Government of Gujarat has initated a scheme called SHODH (scheme of developing high-quality research ) to offer  financial assistance to students doing qualitative research. Under this scheme, more than 1000 full-time research scholars awarded INR 15,000 per month and INR 20,000 contingency expense P.A. in the last five years.

The eligibility criteria for admission to all the undergraduate and postgraduate programme is different at Gujarat University.
