Gujarat University MCom is a PG-level programme offered in Grant-in-aid and self-financed modes. The two-year course is offered in the full-time mode. The university offers various specialisations under the MCom programme, some of which are offered through the colleges and institutions affiliated with Gujarat University. Some of these specialisations include Statistics & Finance, International Business & Banking, Finance & Financial Services, etc.
Gujarat University MCom admissions are decided on merit basis where the scores obtained by candidates in their last qualifying exam are taken into consideration. To be eligible for admission, a candidate must have passed the qualifying examination of one of the following degrees from a UGC-recognised university:

- BBA
- Equivalent degree of any recognised university

1. Application Process
The application process consists of first filling out the online application form from the University's official website and paying the application fee.
2. Selection Rounds
Students have to check what the eligibility criteria is for the course they want. For eg., MBA and PhD course require candidates to appear for an entrance exam, such as CMAT, whereas for UG diploma, BA, and BDes course, students are only needed to pass the merit criteria which is a certain percent of marks in Class 12.
3. Counselling & Admission Confirmation
After completion of the selection rounds, aspirants are required to come for counselling and document verification. For MBA, ACPC Counselling is required. Shortlisted aspirants need to confirm their seat by paying the fee.

The university offers over 700 courses at UG, PG, PhD, certificate and Diploma levels. Additionally, nearly 709 courses are offered in a full-time mode and six courses in part-time (Classroom) mode. The courses are offered in over 12 streams, including Engineering, Science, Teaching & Education, Law, Design, Aviation, etc. Some of the popular courses include MBA, BJMC, BSc, BBA, LLB, MBA, BDes, PhD, etc.
Gujarat University admission is merit-based for most of the courses. However, for some PG and PhD level programmes, aspirants need to qualify for the national or university-level entrance exam. Candidates need to complete a minimum of Class 12 to apply for UG courses whereas graduation is required to apply for PG programmes. The university offers admission to most of the courses based on the merit of the aspirants in the last qualifying exam.

For the General category candidates under the All India quota the cutoff for admission to the M.Tech in Web Technology programme was 3101554, and for the M.Tech in Networking & Communication course, it was 3101337 in the last round closing ranks.
No, the Gujrat University does not offer direct admission for many mainstreams programmes. Candidates need to fulfil the eligibility criteria for each course to get admission.
