Yes, HPU is good for B.Ed. The admission shall be made on the basis of Academic Merit. The applicant should be a teacher possessing Graduation/Post Graduation Degree with 55% (50% marks in case of SC/ST) with two years teaching experience in a Government or Government recognised school located in the territorial jurisdiction of the University and within the State of Himachal Pradesh. The eligibility conditions are and shall be the same as prescribed by the NCTE/any other competent authority from time to time.

Himachal Pradesh University is recognised by UGC and NAAC. Also, HPU has a total of 7 institutes which include the Department of Evening Studies, HPU Business School, University Institute of Technology, HPU College of Business Studies, University Institute of Legal Studies, Institute of Tribal Studies, Institute of Vocational Studies. Since, it is a public state university, the programme fee is very less. 

Taking admission in HPU will also provide placement opportunities to students. The university conducts placement drive every year. Th HPU NEET MDS Cutoff 2025 was released for all categories under the All India quota. For the OBC AI quota, the closing cutoff ranged from 333 to 524 in the last round. Among all the MDS course specialisations, the hardest was MDS in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, with a cutoff rank of 333 for this category. In 2024, the cutoff rank for this course was 462, meaning that the competition has now increased for 2025.

The total tuition fee for Himachal Pradesh University B.Ed ranges between INR 19,200 and INR 2.4 lakh. This information is sourced from official website/ sanctioning body and is subject to change. Once the aspirants are shortlisted, they need to pay a programme fee to confirm their seat in the university. Apart from the tuition fee, aspirants also need to pay an application fee of INR 1,100 (INR 550 for SC/ ST/ Physically Handicapped candidates) for B.Ed entrance exam.
