It is a good college, you can consider it.
Placements: I'm a student at Kotshera College, Shimla, and the percentage of students getting placed is a bit low, nearly 10%. The highest package is around 2 LPA, and the lowest is around 1 LPA. The top recruiting company is BSNL. Internships are not offered by the college, we have to find them on our own. The top roles are website designer and manager.
Infrastructure: There is proper infrastructure available with two separate computer labs. Classes for different years are conducted simultaneously in these labs. There is 24/7 Wi-Fi availability, along with proper classrooms and projectors. Smartboards are also available. Overall, the infrastructure is good. But, there are no hostel facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in nature and try their best to solve our problems. They have deep knowledge of their respective subjects, and the overall teaching quality is very good. The curriculum is a bit old compared to modern industry needs, and the course needs an update. It is easy to pass the semester exams. I pass exams just by preparing the night before.
Other: I chose this course because of the vast job opportunities in the computer field. The course offered by my university prepares students for website and application development. More industry and practical knowledge should be added, and internships should be provided by the college itself so that we don't have to search for them on our own. Frequent events and fests are organized by the college, and other extracurricular activities such as NSS and many more are also arranged, providing overall good exposure.

Teachers are good at our college, but its infrastructure is not so good.
Placements: An individual gets placement when companies come to college. Many companies recruit students to their companies according to their skills and abilities. But for many years companies have not come to our college because students leave their jobs after recruitment.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for BCA is not so good like it's an old building but for study it's good. This building do not have proper rooms and classrooms for students, and in labs, some of the computers are not working properly and there is no Wi-Fi.
Faculty: Teachers are very good at our college and they are very helpful. BCA has semester system and per year has two semesters every semester has its exams and after one month of exams result is declared or your exams and then the new session starts.

The college is very neat and clean and the facilities are also very good.
Placements: 90% are the students got placed from this course. 4 LPA is the minimum package and 8 LPA is the highest package. Private companies are more likely to come for the placements. 80% of students got placed in private companies. Developer, game developer, and software engineer are roles offered.
Infrastructure: Our labs and facilities are good and the classrooms are very spacious. The Wi-Fi and internet facility is also good in the college. The quality of our hostel and the mess canteen is neat and clean and the quality of the food is very good the food is made fresh.
Faculty: The teaching staff is well-qualified and they are very helpful in their studies. This course makes the students ready for the industry as there is very much knowledge in this course. The semester exams are not very difficult and the pass percentage is 80%.
Other: I have interest in this field. The semester time should be extended.

A college has an outdated building that needs to be renovated with a high education.
Placements: Sanjauli College, Shimla Himachal Pradesh offers limited placement opportunities. We have a career counseling and placement cell, which guides us in each move and they are helpful. They guide us in career options and job placements through various government and private agencies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the Sanjauli College is very outdated. Buildings need to be renovated, and they are very old. We have Wi-Fi on our campus which gives us 1 GB of data per day, and that's good for students for online studies. The college offers a basketball court and indoor games like table tennis, carrom, and badminton. A college contains a library which has around 1000s of books, newspapers, and magazines. We have a digital library for students to study digitally.
Faculty: There are around 80-90 teachers in our college of which more than 24 students are PhD holders. They are well-educated. They guide us in our tough times.
Other: Bachelor of Computer Application is a course with a duration of 3 years which includes 6 semesters, so I chose it. The fee for the course is Rs. 13,000 per year. Some registration charges are also there.

HPU is good, but the branches of HPU are not so good.
Placements: I did not get any placement. There is no placement maybe I might not even get a placement. I don't know about the package because if there is no placement then we won't get the package. No company came in front of me, I don't know how many students got internships. No role is offered in my college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not so good. The main HPU is very good but our branch is not good. The classrooms are very small there is no smart class. The lab is not good. They teach us an old syllabus. There is no Wi-Fi. The library is not good. There is no hostel for BCA. There is no canteen in our college and there are no sports either.
Faculty: Teachers are good, but not so good. Teachers are well-educated. There is no placement. The student has to work hard himself. The structure is also nothing special. The semester exams are difficult, it is not that easy. The students pass the exam, but many students get compartment.
Other: I chose this course because I'm interested in computer applications. BCA is a good degree.

Zero exposure and low coding skills .
Placements: The computers in this college aren't good enough. Moreover, there are no placement opportunities provided by the college. If you want to do an internship, then you have to pay for it. You have to do self-study to get internship and placement opportunities in college.
Infrastructure: Very small campus. There is no canteen and medical facilities in college. There is not enough space inside the campus to do other physical activities. The college doesn't provide Wi-Fi for students. There are no smart classes inside the college. Rooms are very small.
Faculty: Some teachers are good but overall it's up to you because teachers can't give you that much help. You have to prepare by yourself to get some jobs in this industry. Because teachers only follow the syllabus which is not fit in today's times. Exams are easy.
Other: Atleast Upgrade computer hardware.

Our college provides many facilities and average placements. It has an average infrastructure.
Placements: About 50% is needed to get placed in this course. The highest salary package offered is 5 LPA to 6 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 1 LPA to 2 LPA. Recruiters include Hoping Minds, Ominous, and Jet King. About 50% to 60% is needed to get internships in companies. The top role offered in our course is manager. There are many other roles in this course.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available for workers only. I am a day scholar. The food in the canteen is average. There are many sports activities.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good. There are many problems with studying here. They only provide online classes. Semester exams are difficult for some. They are not difficult for everyone. The course is relevant.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in coding and designing. Many events and programs are conducted by students.

BCA course in Himachal Pradesh university .
Placements: Placements of this university is good. As I'm BCA student the average package offered is 3 Lacs per annum which is good in my opinion. Top recruiters of our university are Microsoft HCL IOCL BPCL etc. They came here every year and select many of the students and offer them handsome packages. Approximately 70 percent students get placed in reputed companies .
Infrastructure: Our university is situated in the foothills of Shimla. It has lush green area the classrooms are well maintained. Cleaning staff cleans it every day. Wi-Fi speed is good. Hostel facility is also good but the mess food is not upto my Choice they really need to improve the quality of food in mess. Library is big and campus also provides us games and sports which we can choose as per our choice .
Faculty: Teaching staff is very good in this university the C programming and mathematics staff are very caring and helpful in nature. They motivate and support the students in every manner. Teachers are well qualified and their teaching method is very good. Also they conduct projects during the year to make students industry ready .
Other: This is one of the best university in north region due to its prime location and teaching faculty. University also organizes cultural events every year and also provides scholarships to deserving students .
