For the admission to three-year BSc course, the minimum eligibility criteria is to pass Class 12 with minimum 50% in the respective subjects.

Candidates seeking admission to the BTech programmes of HITS must have the required educational qualifications. Candidates are admitted to the MBA programmes based on Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science Common Aptitude Test (HITSCAT) score. The aptitude exam is conducted by the institute for admission to its non-engineering courses.
