From the academic Year 2022, New Education Scheme is launched, in which after completing 1 year in Graduation You will get a Certificate of completing 1 year, And after 2nd year You will get a Diploma in the Graduation, And for the Degree you have to complete the 3 years and you can also get a research degree after 4th year. Yes, the Indira Gandhi National Open University registrations are open for the 2024-25 admission year. The application deadline was extended to Oct 31 for the Jul session by the university. Students need to submit assignments before the deadline given by the university. As per the information collated from web, If any student does not submit the assignment and recieves the hall ticket, he/ she can appear in the Term End Exam conducted by IGNOU University. However, the assignment section in the grade card will show 'Not Completed'. Assignments are an integral part of the curriculum because the same carry 30% weightage during evaluation. A student for clearing his exam needs 40%, assignments carry a significant weightage in academics. 

Once you get admission in IGNOU in distance education, students have to submit assignments, appear for term end exam and if required submit practical file. 

• Assignments: Students can check the assignment on the official website of IGNOU as per their year of admission. Students have to submit the assignment within the specified time to their designated study centre. Some study centre might accept online submission. However, it is advised to submit a hard copy as well. Assignment has weightage of 30%.
• Term End Exam: Term End Exam are conducted two times a year-one in December and other in June. Candidates can check the datesheet for the same on the official website of IGNOU.

Counselling and Family Therapy	Bachelor’s degree in any subject from a recognised university
Environmental Science	Bachelor’s degree in any discipline Science/ Engineering/ Agricultural Science/ Forestry/ Veterinary Science from a recognised university
Mathematics with Application in Computer Science	- Graduate with a major or Hons in Mathematics with at least 50% aggregate - If the seats at a centre remain vacant then: Graduate with a BA/ BSc degree with Mathematics as one of the three main subjects with equal weightage, with at least 50% aggregate and 55% aggregate in the Mathematics

IGNOU offers a two-year MBA programme in General and Banking & Finance specialisations. The eligibility required for different MBA programmes is as follows:

All the admission forms submitted via the Online Admission System are scrutinised and confirmed for admission subject to the fulfilment of eligibility criteria. These forms are processed region-wise on a first-come-first-serve basis. Therefore, the time required for the processing of forms for different regional centres may vary depending on the number of applicants from the respective region.  It is compulsory to carry IGNOU ID-Card when appearing for the exam. However, in case a students forgets to bring the same, he or she can show an identity proof like Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, etc. Most of the exam centres accept identity proof in such cases but to avoid any kind of conflict, students must carry their IGNOU ID-Card along with an identity proof and admit card.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University offer admission on a first-come-first-serve basis. There is no set seat intake at the open universities. Hence, the seat count is directly proportional to the number of applicants. IGNOU BSc seat allotment is merit-based, except for PB BSc Nursing course. For the nursing course, seats are allotted based on scores in OPENNET exam. Candidates can get a seat in the course by registering on the IGNOU admission portal in online mode.
