IIST Trivandrum cutoff 2024 was released for admission to the M.Tech specialisations on the basis of GATE scores. The last round closing scores varied between 350 and 461 for the General AI category candidates. For the OBC AI category candidates, the cutoff ranks were between 286 and 496. IIST admission is open only to specific courses for the academic session 2026. The college has admissions open for Btech, as JEE Main is ongoing for session 2. No, candidates can not take direct admission at IIST. The institute offers only entrance-based admission into different UG and PG courses. The college accepts score of entrance exam such as JEE Main, JEE Advance for BTech. The college accepts score of GATE for MSc or M.Tech admissions.

Candidates applying for BTech at IIST should have passed Class 12 in Physics, Chemistry and Maths with at least 75% aggregate score (general/OBC) and 65% for reserved category. They have to qualify JEE Main and JEE Advance and participate in counselling for seat allocation.
