NIT Calicut MSc Courses & Fees 2025: Seats, Eligibility, Cutoff, Placements

 Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements for MSc courses are eligible to take admission. Selection is further done based on the aspirant’s merit in IIT JAM. The application process for IIT JAM is online (jam.iitg.ac.in). The shortlisted candidates are further required to participate in CCMN counselling.

The total course fee includes various components such as tuition fee, caution deposit, admission fee, hostel fee (if applicable), development fee, etc. The total tuition fee for MSc in NIT Calicut is INR 30,000, the hostel facility cost INR 18,000, and a one-time payment (including various components) of INR 30,500. NIT Calicut has a seat intake of 75 for the full-time MSc course offered in three specialisations. The institute reserves 25 seats for each specialisation. In addition, the institute reserves 5% seats for PwD category candidates followed by norms of the Government of India.

No, NIT Calicut does not facilitate direct admission to any of the courses. Admission is entirely based on merit in the national-level exams, including JEE Main,  GATE,  IIT JAM,  CAT,  NIMCET,  UGC NET, etc. Candidates are further required to participate in other selection rounds, such as counselling, written exam, and interview as well, as per the applied course selection criteria.
