IIST BTech Eligibility & Highlights 2025
Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) offers an undergraduate degree in engineering, BTech which lasts for four years. The programme is offered across two major specialisations, which are Aerospace Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering (Avionics). Other than the regular degree, IIST also offers a dual degree in BTech and MTech. The dual degree is spread across 10 semesters and lasts for five years. IIST BTech Admission 2025: How to Apply?
Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) BTch application process is conducted online. The first step before applying for the BTech course is to qualify for the eligibility criteria as per the Institute's admission guidelines. Once candidates are qualified, they can follow the below-given steps to complete the online application form fillup process for the BTech programme:
Visit the official website of IIST
Now visit the online application portal (http://admission.iist.ac.in) and choose the link to 'Undergraduate Admission'.
Register by filling in the required details. Once successfully registered, candidates will be provided with a system-generated IIST Registration Number.
Pay the application/ registration fee online
Submit the form and take a printout
Do carry the hard copy of the application form at the time of PI and entrance exam

- Class 10 certificate if the date of birth is mentioned in it or birth certificate.
- Class 12 (or equivalent examination) mark sheets

IIST - Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology offers 'Merit Scholarships' to students who have been admitted to the BTech programme. Scholarships are offered to students who have a who have excelled in their academics. Students who have secured AIR (All India Rank, in JEE Advanced Examination, 2023) up to 1000 are entitled to a full fee waiver for the first year. Also, UG students who secure a CGPA of 9.0 or higher (on a scale of 10) in a given semester would receive a 50 % tuition fee waiver in the next semester.
