Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) offers MTech courses at the postgraduate level, which last for two years. MTech programme is offered across 14 specialisations, including Thermal & Propulsion, Aerodynamics & Flight Mechanics, Structures & Design, etc. The programme is offered in both regular and sponsored mode. Other than the regular degree, IIST also offers a dual degree in BTech + MTech. The dual degree is spread across 10 semesters and lasts for five years. IIST MTech Admission 2025: How to Apply?
The application process for MTech programme at the IIST-Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology is completely online. Candidates must read the 'PG Notification Regular' brochure carefully before applying to the MTech course. Candidate must first qualify for the MTech eligibility criteria as per the Institute's admission guidelines. Once candidates are qualified, they can follow the below-given steps to complete the online application form fill up process for the MTech programme:
Visit the official website of IIST
Now visit the online application portal (http://admission.iist.ac.in) and choose the link to 'Undergraduate Admission'.
Register by filling in the required details. Once successfully registered, candidates will be provided with a system-generated IIST Registration Number.
Pay the application/ registration fee online with the help of the registration number.
Submit the form and take a printout
Do carry the hard copy of the application form at the time of PI and entrance exam

IISc Bangalore conducted the GATE 2024 exam on February 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024. The GATE 2024 application form was released on 24th August 2024 on the official website at gate.iisc.ac.in. The organising institute for GATE 2024 was IISc Bangalore. The exam was conducted online as a computer-based test for 29 papers. Candidates had to solve 65 questions in 180 minutes (3 hours). No, candidates can not take direct admission at IIST. The institute offers only entrance-based admission into different UG and PG courses. The college accepts score of entrance exam such as JEE Main, JEE Advance for BTech. The college accepts score of GATE for MSc or M.Tech admissions.
