Eligible students are required to go through JEE Main or MHTCET exam for admission to Institute of Chemical Technology for BTech followed by CAP counselling conducted by DTE Maharashtra. The eligibility and selection criteria for BTech is as follows:
- Eligibility: A pass in Class 10 and Class 12 with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects (40% for Backward Class, EWS and PwD category candidates of Maharashtra) or Diploma in Engineering or BSc exam from a recognised institute of Maharashtra with 45% aggregate (40% for Backward Class, EWS and PwD category candidates of Maharashtra). There is no age limit for admission.
- Selection criteria: MHT CET for students from the state of Maharashtra | MHT CET/ JEE Main for All India category students.
The commencement date for MHT CET counselling has been released. As per available information, the counselling process is scheduled to start on Jul 14, 2024. However, the complete counselling schedule is not yet available. Thus, the last date to participate in the counseling is not available. Students are advised to keep visiting the official website of MHT CET to stay updated.

Candidates can check MHT CET provisional seat allotment by following the below steps:
Step 1: Visit the official website of the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell i.e., cetcell.mahacet.org.
Step 2: On the Home Page, select BE/ BTech from the undergraduate section
Step 3: On the screen, the portal for admission activity updates will appear
Step 4: Select the MHT CET CAP Provisional Seat Allotment Result from the page for a particular round
Step 5: Enter all of the required information to view the provisional allotment result for Round
To secure a seat at ICT Mumbai through MHT CET exam is possible with 90 percentiles, however for specific courses only. The courses for which admission can be possible at 90 percentiles are B.Tech. in Dyestuff Technology, and B.Tech. in Fibres and Textile Processing Technology. According to ICT Mumbai MHTCET cutoff 2024, the cutoff percentile varied from 86.2 to 99.49 for the EWS Home State category candidates.
