ICT Mumbai MTech Eligibility & Highlights 2025
At the postgraduate level, ICT Mumbai offers a two-year full-time MTech programme across 15 specialisations, one full-time ME programme, and one M.Chem Engg course in the field of Engineering. Spread over four semesters, admission to the full-time M.Tech programme is subject to a valid score in GATE/ GPAT/ GAT-B exams. For some ME/ MTech/ M.Chem.Engg. specialisations, an institute-level written test and interview is conducted along with due consideration to the exam scores for final selection. On the basis of the past academics of the students and their scores in the relevant entrance exams, a merit list is released with the names of the shortlisted students.

ICT Mumbai MTech admissions are entirely entrance-based. Candidates have to first register on the official website of the respective entrance exam to participate in the selection process. More detailed steps around ICT Mumbai MTech admission process is as follows:
STEP 1: ICT Mumbai Application Process 2024
To apply for MTech at ICT Mumbai, students are required to apply via GATE. The process of application for GATE 2024 consists of three steps, i.e., registration, form filling & document uploading, followed by payment of application fees. Follow the below steps to fill the GATE application form:

ICT Mumbai MTech Application Process 2024: Important Documents
The documents to be submitted during the application procedure are:
- Aadhaar Card
- Class 10 mark sheet and pass certificate
- Class 12 mark sheet
- UG mark sheets and pass certificate
- Entrance exam scorecard
- No Objection Certificate from current employer (for a sponsored category)
- Proof of payment of application fee
- Category certificate (if applicable)
- Proof of income (in case of EWS candidates)
STEP 2: Selection Rounds
ICT Mumbai admission to MTech is done through GATE entrance scores. Candidates are selected through their past academic scores and rank obtained in GATE exam.
STEP 3: Counselling Process
After the commencement of all the selection rounds, candidates have to register for CCMT Counselling process. The final seat allotment is done through CCMT Counselling. Further, if seats remain unfilled, then the vacant seats are filled with the department-level entrance exam conducted at ICT Mumbai.

The total tuition fee for the two-year MTech/ ME and M.Chem.Engg programme offered by ICT Mumbai ranges between INR 1.8 lakh and INR 16 lakh. This fee, however, is sourced from unofficial sources. Hence, is indicative. Students, however, are required to pay some additional fee components while applying for a course at a college. This includes library fees, application fees, etc. Students also are required to pay the GATE/ GPAT/ GAT-B application fee while applying for the course.
IISc Bangalore conducted the GATE 2024 exam on February 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024. The GATE 2024 application form was released on 24th August 2024 on the official website at gate.iisc.ac.in. The organising institute for GATE 2024 was IISc Bangalore. The exam was conducted online as a computer-based test for 29 papers. Candidates had to solve 65 questions in 180 minutes (3 hours). The last date for the GATE 2024 registration was October 20 with late fees. The last date for GATE 2024 registration without late fees was October 12. GATE 2024 application form was available online on the IISc Bangalore official website. GATE 2024 registration link is gate2024.iisc.ac.in. The registration window opened on August 30, 2023. Candidates can apply for the GATE exam until the last date. Before filling out the GATE application form, it is advisable for the candidates to check the eligibility criteria. In case a candidate fails to fulfill any of the GATE exam eligibility conditions, then his or her candidature will be cancelled and he or she will not be able to download his or her GATE admit card for 2024.
