Actually, in the civil department, teachers are very less than other departments due to this reason students were not placed in a good company.

Jadavpur University pros and cons.
Placements: Not very significant placements occur in the passing-out batch. Though you can get a placement if you have additional skills such as programming knowledge, only Physics knowledge is not enough. The average package is 4–5 LPA. Top companies like ONGC hire for our course. Although almost everyone gets an internship in Physics research labs, most students opt for higher studies in IITs or foreign colleges.
Infrastructure: Forget about Wi-Fi. Even mobile network is not available in classrooms. Many fans in the classrooms are not working. Labs are good, but most of the instruments are very old and have errors. Classrooms and benches are not clean. The hostel is average. It is not very clean, and the food is not tasty. The sports ground condition is poor. The ground gets muddy within two minutes of rain.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and highly qualified. Their teaching method is really helpful. Teachers focus more on practical field teaching, not just theoretical teaching. They are very helpful during exam times. Many professors try to make students industry-ready, and the curriculum is also relevant. Semester exams are moderate, but the passing percentage is higher than at Calcutta University. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: The best thing about this college is the college life. The college has a cultural heritage and is very crowded. Students are very enthusiastic about art. The campus has very nostalgic vibes, and connectivity is also very good. Seniors engage with juniors very respectfully. Many events happen throughout the year, and the fest Sanskriti is the best.

Balanced environment and great faculty.
Placements: At JD Birla Institute, the placement cell is fantastic, as the officer appointed for this work is very diligent in providing every student with jobs accordingly. Companies like EY, Swiggy, Maruti, ITC, etc., visit our college, thereby providing students with various opportunities.
Infrastructure: JD Birla's infrastructure is clean, well-structured, and maintained. According to students' basic needs, all of them are provided with a proper library, classrooms, AVR, labs, etc. Also, canteen and infirmary-type facilities are available at all times. In short everything is too easy to fit in here in this college.
Faculty: Teachers and students have a great professional relationship, which makes it easy for both faculty members as well as students to work together. The curriculum of the course is very relevant to our careers. Semester exams have a moderate level of difficulty. Overall I would say studying here is one of my best choices.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to go for something creative that allows the use of the brain with innovation.

Excellent academic and corporate grooming.
Placements: At JD Birla Institute, everyone is eligible for a placement, but most of the students pursue an MBA, or they join family businesses, bringing the percentage down around 15-60 percent. The highest package is 9 LPA and the average is 5 LPA-6 LPA. The top recruiting companies include EY, Deloitte, HSBC Bank, and Amazon. In my batch, 100 percent of students got internships at top companies, such as TCS and Exide Industries. Top roles offered are business analyst, financial manager, account manager, HR, marketing, and sales executive.
Infrastructure: It is well regarded for maintaining a corporate-like environment, which is suitable for management studies. Classrooms are air-conditioned with smart boards. A fully automated library with quite a variety of books. Fully equipped computer lab with the latest software and Wi-Fi on campus. There are no official hostels, most students stay in nearby paying guests. The college has a very hygienic canteen. The college has an in-house infirmary. Sports facilities include a badminton court and a recreational area, including table tennis, football, and carrom board. While the college is very compact in terms of area.
Faculty: The faculty at JD Birla is quite good. The teachers here are highly qualified and have quite a lot of experience in teaching. The college follows the New Education Policy (NEP). It includes subjects like digital marketing, Excel, and business analytics. While in practical exposure, students have a 6-week internship, soft skills sessions, and field visits, making them industry-ready. The exams are moderate the papers are set by Jadavpur University and are evaluated by them. The pass percentage is often near 100 percent. The college also requires 60 percent compulsory attendance.
Other: I chose BBA as it is considered one of the top private management institutes in Kolkata. The best things about my course are corporate grooming and an industry-aligned curriculum. Networking areas of improvement are campus-size-limited extracurricular activities.

Good infrastructure and education at reasonable cost. Teachers and seniors are very helpful.
Placements: Jadavpur University had always offered a good placement record, with about 90 percent in most years. Our batch strength was around 86 students. Among them, 71 students opted for jobs, and 56 students got placed. The highest package was around 40 LPA, the lowest was 3.5 LPA, and the average was around 13 LPA-14 LPA. Major recruiters included Texus, Samsung, TCS, etc.
Infrastructure: JU provided good quality education at a reasonable cost, so all equipment in the lab and library was not new, it was quite old. I didn't stay in hostel, so I don't know much about it. The quality was not like a private college hostel, but what should we expect for Rs. 25 per month as a hostel cost.
Faculty: Teachers and seniors were always helpful. I studed my first semester without purchasing any books. I just borrowed books from the library, and seniors provided a drive link with important questions with solutions. The curriculum was relevant according to West Bengal engineering syllabus. The semester exam was easy most questions came from PYQs, and 40 percent was the pass percentage. If you failed any subject you can give supplementary exam to pass that subject. Teaching quality was very good. Seniors and teachers always helped us a lot. Seniors helped us with important topics for exams and placement.

Absolutely satisfied with the placement. Really good infrastructure.
Placements: Placements are very fantastic in this course. If you study well for 4 years you are expected to have multiple job offers with a handsome salary. Roles offered in this course are project manager and site manager. Top recruiting companies are Larsen and Toubro and Ambuja Cement.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is always available on the campus. Labs are also well-maintained by the government. Classrooms are too good with smart classrooms. Hostels are also good with mess facilities having non-vegetarian meals daily. Medical facilities are good. We have an annual sports event U-Turn where you can play every sport you can think of.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. They would help you in cracking the GATE exam if you ask them to teach for the GATE exam. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes the student industry-ready. Semester exams are too easy. Pass percentage would be around 95 percent.
Other: I chose this course because I have a dream of being an IES officer in civil engineering. The best thing about this course is that you get a lot of time to prepare for the competitive examination. We have a 10-day annual fest with multiple bands performing on stage.

It's Jadavpur University.
Placements: The placement of this campus was so good that many students tried to get enrolled on this college by not choosing the IITs. The brand value of this campus was very high all over India. The average package varied between 8 LPA and 15 LPA. The highest package can go above 15 LPA if you try to go for non-core roles. Most roles offered were either production engineer or marketing engineer.
Infrastructure: Buildings of this campus were the backlogs of the overall campus. The buildings were old, and the benches were not very comfortable. The Wi-Fi was available at a decent speed and slow in some far places from the buildings. The library was a bit dusty. The hostel buildings were not so well furnished because they have become old.
Faculty: Faculty members here were highly knowledgeable people you've ever known. All teachers were research-active members. All faculty members' teaching quality was excellent. The course curriculum was the best in the state. Semester exams were very helpful and always interesting for all. The pass percentage was above 90%.
Other: The campus was the best in Kolkata, and you would have a better future here.

Jadavpur University is known for its super affordable fees. For most standard undergraduate programs, the total fee is just about INR 7,200–9,600, spread over three or four years. For engineering courses like B.Tech, expect to pay between INR 20,000–25,000 for all four years. Always check the latest
