Dissatisfied with placement but very good faculty.
Placements: There are a total of 5 departments in engineering, but civil is in the last position for things like placement and student priority. A total of 30 students were placed in 2024-25 in civil companies like L&T, Ambuja Cements, J.K. Laxmi, etc. All are in field jobs with an average salary of 5 LPA, the highest is 9 LPA, and the lowest is 2.9 LPA.
Infrastructure: The quality of mess food is good, especially in A.P.J. hostel and F.R.K. hostel. There are 3 girls' hostels and 6 or 7 boys' hostels, and there are many canteens in Jamia with affordable prices. Sports facilities are available, as well as a clinic. The engineering department has one building, and there is another building for the reading room and library.
Faculty: The civil engineering department has the most senior professors, and they are very knowledgeable and experienced faculty. They are strict teachers, but they help students with academic studies, and the difficulty level of exams is very low, allowing around 80% of students to pass.

2022 is the best year for electrical engineering.
Placements: In 2025, electrical placements are not good. Around 40 students are placed out of 78 students, and these 40 students are placed in Optum, TCS, Zia Semiconductor, JSW, L&T, etc. The lowest package is 3.45 LPA in TCS Ninja, and the average package in electrical engineering in 2024-25 is 7 LPA, while the highest is 18.56 LPA in Optum.
Infrastructure: The overall campus is good. The buildings are good, and the dentistry building is very nice, well-maintained, and well-designed. The engineering department has a personal library and reading room, and all 5 departments of engineering have a common building. There are a total of 6 boys' hostels and 3 girls' hostels. The mess is hygienic, and the food is decent at a reasonable price. Jamia has a sports complex and a free clinic for students.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. They teach us very well. However, some teachers are lazy and don't teach us with their hearts. In the engineering departments, all 5 departments take 2 sessional tests and 1 end-of-semester exam. We can easily pass the exams by studying before them, and approximately 70 students pass their exams.

Best campus, bad infrastructure of Psychology department, and best faculties.
Placements: As I am a psychology student, placement in this course is not that active on my campus. But there is a placement cell with which we have affiliation. But the thing is, my seniors (the previous passed-out batch) have been admitted to different universities for M.Phil. and PhD.
Infrastructure: Hostel is good. There is good infrastructure and mess. But the Department of Psychology is bad. There are no separate class rooms for PG and UG. Programmes are conducted on corridors. There is free WiFi on campus. We have a vast library and large reading halls with air conditioning. We have many canteens where Veg and Non-Veg are available. We have fee consultation facilities at the hospital. We have a big sports complex where we can practice.
Faculty: Faculties are really helpful. But syllabus is not that updated. There are two sessions before every semester exams, and every exam was conducted on time.
The semester exam is not that difficult for those who studied. At least two modules from every subject come in the exams.
Other: It was my dream to study in Jamia. By God's grace, I cracked the entrance exam and got admission. The campus is perfect, and the events here are entertaining.
Only negative is the bad infrastructure of the psychology department. Also, the best thing about my course is the compulsory internship during the third semester; it was a really good experience and will make us capable of becoming good psychologists.

Before taking Admission in JMI s B.Tech course, go through this review.
Placements: In electrical engineering, about 80% get campus placement, and among them, most are recruited by mass recruiters. The packages are not that high, but the ROI return on investment is high as the fee for the whole 8 semesters is about only 80k Rs hostel excluded, and the average package in electrical engineering is 4 to 5LPA.
Infrastructure: The hostel facility is top notch. Being a non vegetarian, it is heaven to be in a muslim university hostel, as the non veg foods are delicious, the menu is also mouth watering, and on festive occasions, they give special foods, and also the Hostel Annual functions are good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, most are PhDs, and even some are IIT students. One of the teachers has been the NITs dean. The course is also relevant, workshops and labs are truly making students industry ready. I have not given any exams yet, but heard from seniors that exams are also tactically good for students growth.
Other: I chose this course as I wanted to study in Jamia Millia Islamia, as I have studied 9 to 12 in Jamias school.

It provided the best placements in 2022. It is the best college for engineering.
Placements: In 2024 and 25, the lowest students got placed from the electronics department in campus placements. Only 45-50% of students get placed, and 2 students are placed in the Optum company with a package of 18.56 LPA. Other students got placed in companies like TCS, Accenture, etc. 1 student got an internship in Accenture, and after the 7th semester, he got a PPO by Accenture.
Infrastructure: The engineering department is very good. Five departments have only one building, one separate library, and a reading building with AC and Wi-Fi connection. There are hostels like FRK, SRK, Kelat, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Allma Iqbal, Dr BR Ambedkar, and 3 girls' hostels. Jamia has a big sports complex and Ansari Medical Services.
Faculty: All five departments, including electronic and communication, take two sessional tests of 15 marks and one end-semester exam of 45 marks. Exams are easy. Electronics faculty members are very good. They give good marks. They teach us very well. There are knowledgeable and experienced faculty members. Approximately 70-80% of students pass exams.

It offers what a tier-3 college can provide and is good in terms of ROI.
Placements: This year, nearly 50% of students secure campus placements, with an overall placement rate of over 80%, including off-campus placements. The highest package is 24 LPA from Landmark Group UAE, followed by 18 LPA from Splash and 11 LPA from ICICI Bank. Most offers range between 5-8 LPA, primarily for marketing, sales, and HR roles, along with positions in operations, project management, consultancy, and analysis. The lowest package is 5 LPA. It is advisable to seek internships independently, as those offered by the college are not very relevant.
Infrastructure: The basic facilities such as smart boards, microphones and speakers, drinking water, and a girls' common room are available. The departmental library is well-equipped with resources and study materials. There are numerous canteens on campus that offer good food at reasonable prices. The campus is green and beautiful. Talking about the hostel, it has 3-seater rooms, a common room, a reading hall, clean drinking water, and average mess food available.
Faculty: Most of professors are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is revised and updated, but the B-school environment is lacking. The atmosphere is not as competitive as that of a B-school. Semester exams are not very difficult, with easy questions, some practical questions, and case studies included. The pass percentage is 40%.

The latest cutoff for B.Arch. at the Faculty of Architecture and Ekistics, Jamia Millia Islamia, is around 137 in NATA and 90 percentile in JEE Main Paper-2 for the general category. Reserved categories have slightly lower cutoffs. Admission is based on NATA or JEE Main scores along with 10+2 marks
